Did you know you could get more HP onLS1 by installing LS6 complete head, cam , lifters, push rods, valve train ,all head components kit than what you could get on a stock LS6.

GTOTitoLS1, please stop spreading incorrect information.
The LS6 is 10.5:1 compression.
If you swapped an LS1 head for a completely stock LS6 head, and upgraded to the LS6 cam you would make the same power as an LS6.

it's funny how the tech books have printing errors, LS1 10.25:1 and LS610.5:1. anyhow after installing the LS6 kit on my LS1, it produced more FHP than the LS6.
to be exact 500.947HP and normal Ls6 top out at 405FHP

I recall reading in both GM High Tech and Super Chevy how factory crate LS6 and LS1 engines made 450hp and 407hp respectively. Both used headers, open exhaust,(electric water pump), but with stock PCM calibration and A/F ratios.

Hardcore, you have a nice car, and also some quicker ET's to be had. Get that 60'er down and you could have 11's. Check out my sig for stock long block ls6 and only mod was CAI and 315 BFG dr's (self tune). Then throw a little spray on there, and bam, a 10.xx car. The ls6 is a bad azz motor.
