Default FAST 90 On

Well just put on the FAST 90mm intake manifold. All I can say is wow... it really made a big difference in the upper RPM's. No dyno #'s on it, I should be taking it to the track this weekend to hopefully pull some high 11 second pass though (crosses fingers).

What type of Paint was used on the Fast Intake manifold. Was going to paint my FAST as well. Pictures look great and I agree witht the performance, it ust opens up the LS1.

Yes stock heads. Can't give out the cam specs... top secrete lol.

The paint is just some stuff we found at the last moment that matched pretty damn good. I don't remember what it was.

I was waiting to see that. Love the blue paint.

With a 6.0L bottom end and 243 casting heads stock....these cars should MOVE with just bolt ons, cam and getting rid of that garbage LS2 manifold.

Got some touching up to do still, but you guys get the point. I think this really helps it look better IMO. Gotta thank Mike for the idea and help with the covers, and intake

05_GTO I think that your GTO is the best looking GTO I have seen since they came out. I just bought the FAST 90 and i was gonna install it tommorrow but it looks like I will be painting everything first, now that I see how good it looks.

Thanks... it was a last min thing. It will have to be repainted later on down the road, and done better the next time around. Though it turned out good, and is staying on fine, but has chiped off where it has been hit by the rail covers. I'll take it off, get the paint off, primer it, paint it and then clear it one of these days.

Fastest befor was a 12.29 without the FAST and a 1.91 60'. With the FAST my best so far is a 12.06 with a 1.83 60', of course that is with better tires. Though from mine and my bud's testing the FAST with supporting mods (cam, full bolt ons... no heads) gives a 2 or 3 tenths off your ET. If I go to the track this weekend I expect to see 11.8's.

With the FAST intake, did you use the stock TB? Other than the intake did you need to purchase anything else to get it installed properly? Is there anything special you had to to do to get the intake to work on an '05?

"It is real simple. Mine didn't take long at all.
You'll need:
1 .Some thick washers to space out the power steering res. You can hardly tell they are there once it is on.
2. Electrical tape - Carefully unwrap the harness that the map sensor is in and create enough "slack" to relocate that sensor to the rear. Tape the harness back up.
3. Four Washers (two small, teo larger) - You'll need to create a "steped" type washer so that the fuel rails will be held down. The fuel rails do not bolt directly up. No big deal.
4. Longer bolts to bolt the TB to the manifold."

A few pics of it cleaned

It's got a few scraps in it where the FRC (fuel rail covers) hit it. The FRC's will have to be trimmed some as well to be able to be put back on. I still need to trim mine more, I'll get around to it one day.
