They'll call you back tomorow if they want to sell a car bad enough. Funny thing is, I did exactly the same thing, except to the sales person. Came back two days later in my new GTO that I got for MY price a half hour away at another dealership. Shoulda seen the look on their faces! (Oh damn, we lost the sale now!)
Try to negotiate the sale without a trade. I ended up selling my other car myself a few months later and ended up with a LOT more money than I would have got on a trade.

I'm beginning to think this thread is just so much BS. Starts by saying I'm buying a 2006 GTO tomorrow. Help me out-am I doing the right thing? and then agreeing to $27000 and then asking for more off on an 06. I'm afraid you sound a little too much like a kid pretending here. When we bought our GTO's we weren't asking everyone if we were doing the right think because we had been drooling over them for weeks or months and finally figured out a way to pay for one. There are guys who bought 2004's for full sticker (over $32000) here. I think you are just blowing smoke. Just one man's opinion.

Keep the T/A, sell it after you get the GTO and then drop a big check towards the principal loan which will help your payments out some.
Or do like me, pay extra every month, my payments just keep going down.
