Default Oil change, how often??

How often are we supposed to change to oil on these cars?? (05 GTO) I changed mine at 3k after I got it just to be safe but now how often. I certainly did put the Mobil 1 in. I have never ran a car with synthetic so I am kinda new at this.
Thanks

I wouldn't have waited 3K for the first change.

Synthetics are good for a long time. I go about 5K between changes on the GTO. I go 8-10K on my ranger.

I usually dump the factroy fill at 500miles. Just to be sure no breaking materials ect are in. I have always ran mobil 1 in everything I own. Usually change at 12,000 miles with the filter at 6k and 12k. anything less you are just flushing money down the toilet.

I've spoken to a lot of people that like to rely on the computer telling them when to change. Make sure you use a good filter with that Mobil 1 to get the best life out of your oil.

I change the oil every 5K miles, with Mobil 1.

Seems to work well.

If you run it hard. Like taking it to the track. I would change it every 3K to 4 K.

Its cheap insurance.

I've been changing mine every 3000 miles. I use Mobil 1 and it's starting to show some darkening at that time.

Just because your oil is getting dark doesn't mean its anywhere near the end of its life.
