If so... are you sure its really off?

It is an anti-theft "feature."

I guess my question would be why would you want to turn any anti-theft anything off???

It's a conversion project. I have a 2004 GTO pcm and wireharness. Problem is that VATS doesn't seem to disable in the old ways. I doubt anyone has actually disabled it, but it never hurts to ask.

I would like to know this also. Someone mentioned it needs to be linked to the BCM, which I dont have. Any tuners out there with the answer???

As a matter of fact... yes... Speartech programmed mine out and it is in transit to me again. They can take care of it for you for sure. Recommend you look them in the sponsor list to the right.

ive just managed to start a 2004 gto engine in my Nissan 200sx S13 now. But it only runs for 3 seconds. So i havent removed the vats properly. Ive got HPtuners so i guess i just have to find the right menus in the program to remove vats.

Have anyone here removed VATS with HPtuners on a 2004 GTO?
