Default 06 gto (m6) vs 98 z28 (m6)

alright crazy question. i have a 98 z28 that i owe 10k on. and a 06 silverado 4x4 lease (446 for 36 months, with 28 left). i live in ct thus the need for 4x4. im moving to florida and for sh*t's and gillgles i went to the pontiac delearship to work out a two for one trade. they'll take both in, and for 500 for 72 months(0%) financing, with 6 year xtended warrenty, i get a 06 gto. just curious what you guys think...

thanks
josh
ps-love my camaro but with 96k miles, who knows

first off i wouldnt ever trade in any car. they dont give you dick for it. just for some things to think about: the GTO is a very fun car to drive (my cousins husband has one) and their interior is MUCH better than your camaro's. Also, the GTO wont attract nearly as much attention from the cops as your camaro does, simply because most cops cant tell the difference between that and your moms grand am. but if you kept the camaro, think about the modding possibilities.. if you kept the camaro, you could spend half of money as you would on the gto and be a HELL of alot faster.

thanks for the great points, its tough because my camaro is high miles, and i dont have the money to throw 5k into the engine, even though it would be alot faster than the gto. the gto weighs a ton though!!! fast and powerful but the camaro seems to be able to get going quicker.

thanks
josh

Well if you are going to do it then I would definetly sell the Camaro out right so you don't get raped by the dealer.

500 dollars for 72 months wtf?? thats $36,000, you are crazy to even consider that.. you would be trading in two cars and still paying basically full price for the GTO..if you are moving to florida why not just get rid of the truck

yeah, but its 2 cars i owe on, the truck is just a lease, but the camaro i owe 11k on, so like stealth formula said, i should avoid getting raped and sell the car...from what i gathered on here, people are paying around anywhere from 29-33k. so im going to talk them down to 34, which includes taxes, and 6 year warrenty. but we'll see, i doubt they'll drop that low. ill let you guys know, but i agree 36 is way too much.

lol, so alright, i go to pick up the new gto, ready to sign for it. during the paperwork review, somehow in the process they missed 10k. so instead of 36k i was financing, it was 46k. i cant say im too disappointed cause i do like my camaro, but nothing like getting set to drive a new car home and having some stupid financial manager screw it up. oh well, thanks for all your help

josh
ps-called pontiac and gave them an earful. i dont know what good it'll do, but it made me fell good

sucks about the gto dude. you should look at some other dealerships. play the field some. you wont marry the first girl you see, so why should you buy the first car you see?

And this is why you should always try to remember - owe less than the car is worth!
