And fogs, hell yeah! I haven't found any kits for the fogs. I think I might look harder.

Have any writeups or advise?

The kit I got for my low beams required a little file fitting to get the bulb locking tabs to fit.

Here's a write-up in ls1gto.com.

http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...driving+lights

I had the Philips 4500K low beams and foglights installed by Harris Speed Works. It makes the car look a lot better at night and even during the day when you use either the low beams or the foglights with the parking lights. Not to mention, you'll see a lot better at night. I bought my kits from xenonking.com, but I'm pretty sure they're not the best vendor to buy these from as they have a horrible return policy and even a worse turn-around time. As for the install, my installer said that it was basically plug and play. He had to remove the front bumper to do the install and that was actually the easiest part.

Whatever you do DON'T BUY FROM visionbulbs.com THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!! Trust me this is from experience, I love the look, so far the bulbs work fine(installed 8 mos. ago) but their service is non-existent and they don't credit you when they send the wrong bulbs for your fogs. So now I'm without fogs that match which is kinda the reason for doing it in the first place! Seeing better is just a benefit to looking better

Hmm. I don't have any pictures of the car with the HIDs. But I took these before and after I did the swap. I did the 4300K kit that Speed, Inc. had. It was Philips I believe.

I am looking through all data and I can't find the component location. I guess I hope it's labeled.

It's been a while but I think the relay positions are labeled on the underside of the cover. It's along the passenger side of the engine compartment in front of the strut mount.

Phillips 6k kit. Dont mount the box where it touches metal and water can get to them, they will short out. The lil double sided sticky tape provided isnt big enough to prevent this.

Plug and play. 4300k lows and fogs here from Team SCSS on LS1GTO.com. They made a world of difference. One of the best mods I've done yet.

Have any of you seen or heard of issues with water leaking into the projector housings after HID retrofits? I'm a bit wary of compromising the watertight integrity of the housings, otherwise I would have done this already.

you're just drilling a small hole into the dustcaps, then resealing them w/ silicone. no leaks, no worries.
