I cant get to crazy yet, the wifey was really nice in letting me get a 2006 GTO (LS2/A4 combo)as long as I sell my 2005 ZX10r.
Air intake kits - What works, what is the best bang for the proverbial buck?
Exhaust system - Dont plan on doing headers yet, but for a catback or muffler setup what can you all recommend. I was thinking of just replacing the stock mufflers with Maganflow mufflers.
ECM - Is it going to be worth it to reflash the ECM before doing headers?
What are some of the minor bolt on 05/06 GTO's doing?

Depending on who you ask.. you'll get varied answers. Some will claim they can feel the power increase, some will claim better dyno numbers. Others will claim that once the heat soak sets in, any power gains will be moot, because while the intake will be sucking in more air... it will be hot air.
Something to think about.

These cars are pretty rich from the factory to begin with, plus with a tune you can get rid of stuff like Active Torque Management, etc. But I personally would wait to do this until after you get the headers done.

You could also look into electric cut-outs for the exhaust.

I never thought i would be saying this but get a predator or superchips programmer. I have personally seen these shave 3 tenths off of the 1/4 mile and add about 2-3 mph. The torque management in these cars pulls out so much power, and these programmers delete it (not to mention give you a more mean and lean tune). Normally i would say get a "real" tune but the results these give with minimal bolt-ons is great. Good luck.

No biggie, I wasnt really clear on that...
Well the mods have started. (2) Magnaflow 9x11 mufflers are on their way to me. Now I have to find the CAI I want.
Who has the best price on a CAI for the LS2 GTO? I am looking for either the LPE or the Volant.
Then it is 160 thermo, Underdrive pulley, Headers (Who makes the best bang for the buck ones here) and a tune if I dont go with the Predator.

Pacesetter cost half as much as the rest of the brands out there. Downfall to them is they're not stainless steel, like the more expensive brands.
But if that's not an issue for you, then there's your answer.

gutted stock airbox w/ K&N until you are looking for the last tiny bit of HP then want the extra hp or two a open element cone & a box will net you.
Believe me, I have cam/headers/tune/nocats/flowmaster/plugs/wires/t-stat, etc. and i was on the stock airbox. Gutted though. I finally hit the point where nothing was really left so I changed to a CAI. No real gain at all, but I got it cheap, and this way I know I did EVERYTHING, until I do gears & heads.

The stock M6 cars gain a 18-22 rwhp in the LS2 applications!
If you need another tune in the future, you know I'll help you out.
