Default Oil Changes by Dealers

Does the oil need to be changed by the dealer to satisfy the warranty or can I change my own oil? Any info. would be appreciated.

If you don't use Mobil 1, but you do use a GM certified oil, is that okay? like Amsoil 10W-30?
