I'm yanking the heads and gonna have them freshened and install the LG radiator.

I also need to redo the brakes on my tow vehicle.

What are you doing to the heads? Sticking with the same cam?

My plans are to sell my toys...
To get a dedicated racer

Anyone need a 2002 SOM 1LE?

What's winter? I need to replace four rotors, flush my brake fluid, while I save for a big brake kit. Turns out I am murderous on brakes.

You are kidding, right? Sell the SOM?

The plan is to stay with the same heads, just getting guides and seals and valve job. Need to cure that puff of smoke on a big downshift.

Nick don't sell that car, it's gorgeous! Make IT your dedicated racer, you've got that nice truck and trailer to haul it around on and everything.

Also I'm building a more fun engine in the garage, because 346 cubes just isn't enough anymore. I'm sick of pressing the gas at 2,000 rpm and feeling like I'm driving a Civic until it hits 4,000. With the Eagle 4" 4340 cranks at $800 and Darton wet-sleeved blocks at a little over $2,000, it's too good to pass up. It wont be done until sometime around May though. My main needs before March that have to be done are a T2R out back and hopefully I can hold out long enough for the V710s to come out, as I need some new race rubber.

Nick, I agree with Kyle ... of course, I realize the class you are considering doesn't allow the LS1 motor ....

Winter plans are to get the Dirt track car race ready.. Then try to stop the oil leak on the Valdez LT1..... get some new brake pads & rotors.

I would like to get a roll bar installed, but don't know if that will happen.

Well I'm moving, so that's the big important thing to take care of. Already sold my drag radials, so I'll probably pick up some auto cross tires when I get settled in to my new place. Might pick up a new front sway bar and make sure everything else is up to spec.

Mitch I got in on the LG G2 sale . I am gonna base line my suspension and his coil overs. Bilstein will work with me over here If I need any help on the valving for free plus If Can't hit eight on my own , they said they have a person who can . So I can't go wrong I don't think. But that won't happen till around June time frame.

That's great. Ever take any in-car video of those NB runs?

I got my heads and headers off tonite. There have been several folks who have seen the welds break where the AIR and EGR flanges attach at the header tube. So, I'm gonna have some sort of bracing welded in to absorb or counter the vibrations and prevent the damn things from falling off.

I left a message with my head shop (that just sounds wrong). Hopefully they will call tomorrow and get these guys up there and get them worked.

While I'm waiting, it will be a great time to install that new radiator and run lines for the oil cooler.

What's the tape format? NTSC or PAL? VHS, 8mm, DV?

I'd like to be doing CMC in 2005.

That gives me next year to buy a suit, get a license, and buy/build a car.

The toy I'm selling is my 76 El Camino that's been a money pit for 3 years since I was going to "just do a motor swap"...... but, everything has it's price.

I can't use the 2002. Can't have an LS1 in CMC. I can't afford to build a competitve car for AI.

I thought the CMC was all out in California, or maybe I am a retard, or maybe both.

CMC and AI started in Texas last year, I believe. Using the CA rules.
