How well does that set up work for road racing? I’m looking to do a full build on my car and I’m kind of at a loss for what kind of rear end to use so I’d like to get some input from people running different types.

Agree good eye, looking at the photo the Watts link spherical looks close to binding.
In fact last month just replaced a spherical on the Watts link.
It's at full droop in that photo so need to check it again loaded.
Installing a set of Project Mu brake pads, everyone seems to like them for the added modulation control.

Not sure of your experience but this how I went about learning car control, driving in traffic and then racing.
Your avatar car looks serious so I'll leave this here for others just getting started.
The jump from DE/TT to racing made most tracks interesting again because when racing you have to drive off line frequently to lap slower cars.
In the beginning it's safer to practice car control on the slower tracks first.
It took me almost 4 years of driving tracks (AX and big tracks) before I entered a Big Willow event.
in 2000 I did 2 years of AX down here at the Qualcomm stadium parking lot.
Then another 2 years at every So Cal track except Big Willow, this was before ACS was built.
Now I absolutely enjoy Big Willow much more than ACS.
If its so close you should try Streets of Willow, it is a good place to practice car control at lower speeds.
I prefer Laguna Seca over Sonoma, Sonoma is fun but it has less run off areas than Laguna Seca.
Surprises me today how many new Vette drivers make ACS their choice for their first time on a track.

Safety tip make sure your mechanic or shop knows what they are doing.

Find a shop you trust, pay a little extra if necessary and cry only once.
Here we were in the 3rd gen Camaro at Sonoma years ago.
Tip now I spin the starter and then switch the coil on. Seems to be easier on everything.

I try to go with Vintage race clubs, VARA, SVRA, HMSA.
Also I try to go to the events where my race shop is providing track service to other customers.
Gives the race shop engineer at the track a chance to watch my car at the track and make suspension recommendations.
I also try to avoid cold track days with a light car wide slicks and 730hp.
I've been to a few races where there was no one to race (no similar cars) so it turns out to be just another test day.
When I was still working I'd plan my track day schedule a year in advance just because I had to put in for time off well in advance to get the day off.
I saw this list and like most of the events on it.
Perhaps try to make a few of these. (Sovern too far away)
Utah would be awesome if its the full course, I would not go if its only half track.
I'm outta CA in 3 weeks sadly. Looking like Sonoma this coming weekend is my last event. I've really enjoyed my experiences on these west coast tracks! And now NASA nats is at Laguna next year. I wonder how many will make the trek? GD that's a lot of cheddar for a single event!

You got your priorities right, get another Race day in a couple weeks before a big move.
