Default Gumball 3000 -> All coverage of the 2005 edition

As I was saying in my first post, I came across this board when looking for info on a 1966 Pontiac GTO for my Gumball 2005 participant portfolio.

The gumball is a 6 day 3000 mile endurance run which was held 3 weeks ago from London to Monaco.

After collecting a lot of info on the teams, drivers and the event I put together a little website containing all this info and pictures, including links to video's etc

http://gumball.icshosting.nl

I hope it's okay to post here, and hope you like it!

Here's a little preview:

Team 38:

38 Christopher Patterson British 1966 Pontiac GTO
38 Christian Drew British 1966 Pontiac GTO

what was your total cost to run this? I'd be interested in doing it but always thought it was a high roller's game only

$10,000, excl car, insurance, petrol, fines etc etc...

I guess if you got a decent car which is allowed in you should be done for about $20k

I will do this some day before I am 30yrs. old. I want to do the one in America. And I would only do it in a Enzo or better can. I am at the Ferrari deal today getting my Escalade worked on and I have to say I love those cars but hate the Maserati are ugly.

Was looking into a Bentley GT or Aston Martin for my next ride. But Aston Martin is owned by ford.

I watched the US one o DVD and there was a guy with an F40 or 50 (one of those) that got clocked at like 197 by helicopter an the cops just set up a roadblock and pulled all the cars with the Gumball stickers.

Yeah thats it. I bet those guys got serious insurance plans. One guy in z3 coupe got bumped off the road by a semi, smasshed the whole side including the front left wheel. Back in the race the next day i think.
