Whining Noise After Cam Change

I think its very odd no venders or manufacture's are chiming in on this long and growing thread makes me wonder!!!

If only 1-2 of us have videos we don't have much. But if a bunch of us start posting videos of the identical noise, it's going to help out a lot more.

Im thinking of pulling the heads and checking/changing the lifters to see if that helps, because my cam was used, and the guy I got it from swears he never had any whining noise from it. So im thinking maybe a lifter got spun around and isn't sitting right.
Might can talk the wife into some CNC'd heads too! just tell her it might help..

now that I think about it, I did have a lifter that wouldn't stay up when I was doing my swap so I had to hold it up with a magnet to get the cam out and in. I bet it didn't sit back down in there right! Just a thought

. It howled so loud when I put it in, you would have thought my car was a 747.I hope it is just a lifter...easier than a cam swap.

Wasn't there a thread on here a while back about lunati cams and a core plug in the center of the cam or something to do with the hollow portion of the cam.
Something could be just slightly off, but still within their specs.
I'm gonna see if I can work with Lunati about me swapping a stock cam in to see if the noise disappears.

"I put a Cam Motion grind in my car, and had the blower whine. It started at about 12-1300 rpm and continued on up. I recently swapped the CC cam back in, and the whine went away. Has to be something Cam Motion is doing. I was planning to mike the cam today as compared to the stock cam and inspect the lobes more closely. Will let ya'll know what I see."
