Well, all I can do is go by my personal real world experience.

When my GT was stock, I ran into a 5th gen(2014-2015 tailights) on the highway... we rolled off and I walked away from it. I would HOPE that it was stock.

Since I have started modding, I have raced a FBO manual 2014-15 5th gen(he said 429rwhp), on drag radials at the track two times one day. And won both times. We both left the line neck and neck and I widened the gap by the end. My mods on those races were catback, flex tune with 93octane, and drag radials on the rear(no skinnies on front)

Also ran a cammed, exhaust l99 automatic 5th gen on drag radials with the same mods as above and won.

So in MY personal experience, the 5th gen is slower. And thats better proof for me than something 2 other drivers did in 2 other cars.

Btw....the tests that are out there with a ls on e85 has shown good gains. So no it's not a 6gen thing.
The problem I see with your logic Hio is, the people that run 93/91, do so by their choice. If they wanted to, they could put a race gas tune on their car and run race gas instead of E85 if its not available... the only difference being they would spend more on fuel, and make a little more power. Like with your car... you run 93 by choice. Nothing stopping you from throwing some 110 unleaded in there with a tune and letting it rip. And people choosing not to run race fuel or E85 if not my problem.

Now take a 4th or 5th gen SS and foot brake it and you would be lucky to hit 1900rpms...
On street tires(Invos) I could stall up to about 2000rpm at the line before the tires would start to spin. With my ET Streets, I have stalled as high as 2300rpm without tire spin. I am still testing different rpm launches... but honestly I don't think a higher stall rpm is going to help me at this point. And yes, my best 60ft so far is 1.78 with the averages being in the mid to low 1.8s. This is on the ET streets. The car leaves the line a little lazy, but picks up quick at the 60ft mark.

Here's my best ET to date so far jakeypoo(not best trap)... go to the track and beat it, then you can say you are faster.

Not try to be funny here, but we were seriously close when I had 2.73's... I mean seriously when you compare everything, giving you the slight edge lol

Same-ish power.. close to same weight.. I have 3.15 gear. I would expect those results. I still think I would probably gain more with a stall, than you would with just a drag pack etc.. but its all good mang. Your car ran good NA. Mine seems to run better than the average 5.0 with the same mods.. a few others run similar from m6g.

And man that would have been a killer race between us if we had lined up together with those slips... damn neck and neck the whole way down...

Yeah it would have been.

That's shows you how little I could launch on stock wheels, I'm a stalled car cutting the same 60' as you. I'd say the new mustang is pretty good from the factory. I'd still take my chances with a drag pack, my other gears, and the 11rwhp more. No matter what, it wouldn't be much. At least not enough to say that they can't be close when you consider HP/weight. Maybe mime ran better than some or it was because it only had I think 18k miles on it at that time. Oh well, it's all good.

A deep pocket h/c/intake ls1 would struggle to make 500rwhp with a composite manifold, t-56, and a 10bolt. Meanwhile the coyotes are doing it through an 8.8 and now irs/ mt-82. It would take a fairly radical ls1 with a single plain manifold and a large hydraulic roller or low lash solid to make it solidly into the 500+ section.

I've read those builds plenty, seen anywhere from 440rwhp to that one trans am making a smudge over 500. Hell, my ai setup made 460rwhp with the t-56 and 10bolt and turned a decent e/t mph with the th400 in nitrous spec on motor. Been there, done that.

robz is fantastic with Vettes, his C5z was astounding. I don't recall coming across his whp with that car though.

Everyone comparing full sausage bolt on 5.0 on FTW fuel to cookie cutter ls1's on 91 builds.
