Default Matte black wrapped 95 TA with gloss black racing stripes!!

I've had my car since 2001 and decided I wanted to change it up a little. I do lots of racecar graphics so I figured I would give wrapping my car a shot. Overall it went pretty smooth, the rear bumper and front bumper were by far the hardest panels to do! I love the way it turned out, now I need to detail it up nice and drive it around town! I tossed the idea around about black wheels and plasti dipped one today to see how it looked and I hated it lol. Let me know what you guys think!!!

Looks good, but not really a fan of the stripes, as they don't flow with the hood. Would have looked better if the outsides followed the hood scoop lines.

For the wheels, you mentioned that you plastidipped them and didn't like it.. Was that the normal flat black or did you use the glossifier? I think black wheels would look good on there, but they would HAVE to be gloss black to stand out from the car. But the chrome has a nice clean look as is.

I'm not a fan of flat black wheels either... it's why I went with a pearl powder coat on mine.

Overall the car looks good.

curious as to what material you used to wrap, and how much was the overall cost, and time it took you to complete

Brien,
Is that Speedway Black ? I'm in the process of getting my old chrome Z06 deep dish wheels powder coated. I was tossing around Speedway Black & Speedway Grey. Going with grey because I feel I need the contrast on the gloss black car.
Your color combo looks great . Whatever it is.

I went with avery SW900 Matte Black vinyl. I knew from the start i wanted a matte/gloss black combo so I ordered a test square of all the 5 different manufactures matte black vinyls and placed a gloss stripe on each one to see what contrast I liked the best. I ended up ordering 45' of it and it cost me just under $400 for the material. If I were to do it again i would probably get 55' or 60' I had to get creative in a few spots and seam the vinyl because I was running low, If I had more I could have cut large pieces and not had to seam it. The only place I really had to do it was the ground effects and luckily its low enough that your eye cant spot it. Plus I was hoping to have enough extra that if i did mess up a panel or have something go wrong I could scrap the piece and continue on and not have to wait for more material to come... luckily I didn't screw up lol. I worked on it here and there for a couple hours a day after work, Overall it took me a month to complete the wrap. I usually did 1 panel at a time... I started on the front fenders, then the doors and then moved to the 1/4 panels. i figured I would do the "easy"panels first to get acquainted with the material. I love the way it came out and what little bit I have driven it it definitely turns heads!!!

I'm not a big fan of vinyl wrapping, but, I have to say you did a great job and it looks pretty damned good! I like the matte on gloss contrast you have going on with the stripes.

Ive always liked the idea of a black car with matte stripes, but the opposite looks really good too.
