Default Whipple ripped my idler off

Ok so so drove car about 100 miles before this happened . I. Thinking belt was too loose and maybe tensioner bound it up when I got on it?? This is a holley alt/ ps bracket. I ordered a new one, new idler, and a gates fleetrunner belt . We will see what happens .

If I were going to do another Whipple build, I'd opt for a direct drive. I chased a few belt issues myself but once they were under control, I switched to a turbo. Wish I would have tried nitrous with that blower.

Anyhow, that seems like it took some force to break that bracket.

Why did you get rid of whipple? How does it stack up to the turbo.? My parts are coming in mon , so I will be at the drags weds . Hopefully I won't get kicked out for going faster than 11.50 .I really don't want to put a cage in .

How much boost are you seeing? Which pulley are you running? Keep us up to date on the reliability for use as a dd.
