I got the opportunity to sit in one last weekend and they're worth every penny. The crazy amount of things you can do and adjust in the car to track preferences or your preferences is ridiculous. I have several good friends who work at GM, very very high up who deal with this car and the when the track numbers are released you will all be blown away. On top of it, pictures don't do this car justice. It's gorgeous in person.

around a $16k difference between both cars sticker price. All for damn near the same performance. It's really impressive nonetheless. I'm just excited to see the track numbers released.

Absolutely... secured the #1 allocation at a large Houston dealership before it was announced. Now the wait continues, but damn happy with that price. Only 5k over my last one with waaaay more capability. That line lock and data recorder will be super nice too.
There are plenty of Chevy dealers that will sell at MSRP. Only thing I'm worried about is constraints on the 10 speed in the beginning.
Will definitely be a target for a while. DR's will go on very soon after purchase.
And the Z/28 will follow it up for 2018.

It's listed as "interim availability" right now. I'll be having beers with Al O later next week and that will be my 1st question. I really don't want to see any delays like last time around.

2006 Z06 could hit these numbers on street tires and touch a 10 1/4 mile on dr's stock. But those numbers in 4 (albeit very small rear seats) seat car is amazing. I will have to see how the values hold and maybe I will save an extra year or two and get this over a 1le 6th gen.
