So there is just one pipe running to the turbo. No merge connector?
That's correct, the driver side exhaust manifold connects to the back of the passenger side manifold with a crossover tube that is routed under the transmission bellhousing. The passenger side manifold is a divided-path log with a combined exit, so only a single tube needs to be routed to the turbine inlet.
I just called to ask about the availability of the turbo manifold setup and was told it would be a couple of months. I was really hoping to get my hands on this kit before the end of the month, as my build is on hold pending these parts. Can you give a more accurate ETA, Todd? Any way to get in line on a pre-order list?
Hello Mike. I don't have a more definitive answer for you as I'm not the design engineer responsible for that project. I am working with a set of pre-production manifolds to develop the crossover tubes and turbine inlet pipe I've posted about in this thread. I wish I could tell you they will hit the shelves by a certain date, but I don't know anything about their status at this time.

I hope Holley pays you well for all the hard, awesome work you do.
This week is done and in the can and I thought I'd leave you guys with a bottom-up shot of the way the car is currently configured to give you a more comprehensive view of the layout of the turbo system plumbing. I have a TH350 trans in the car currently and from this images you can see the crossover tube, the turbine inlet tube with its attached waste gate stub-out tube and the location of the turbo support bracket. The cobbled-together bracket has been digitized and is currently getting a make-over in CAD to optimize its geometry and appearance. I also started the rough mock-up of the TH350/Powerglide/TKO transmission crossmember today, so that will get finished up next week.
Did you have plans of making a down-pipe for the turbo?
That will not be part of this current effort as there are to many component variables and possible exit locations to be able to determine what tube bend geometry would be most desireable.
I began the prototyping of the 3" exhaust system this week and got as far as the end of the over-axle tubes...next week I will finish it off with the tailpipes and hangers.
I've completed the prototyping of the rest of the 3" full exhaust system, so here's so images showing what the whole system looks like from various angles and the ground clearance that will be achieved with its installation/use. The mufflers shown in the photos are what I use for mock-ups of my exhaust systems, which will explain why they may look a little strange.
Man, this brings back memories. Used to have an 89 LX five point slow when I was 19. I thought I was the ****. Feeling nostalgic...but I think I want a g-body more...LOL
