Default Koni Double Adjustable Shocks Spring Perch Question

This may be a silly question, and I think I know the answer but wanted to clarify. Do the Koni Double Adjustable shocks that came on the 1LE package cars have two spring perch locations with the snap ring like the single adjustable versions do?

I want to bring up the nose of this car a tad because I'm scraping the ypipe on speedbumps and my driveway constantly, and from what I can there isn't a snap ring visible below the perch in the current configuration. I was going to install a spacer below the shock mount on the A-arm, but would rather do it the right way.

I don't think those are adjustable ride height like the ones you get from Koni

Doubles are not that way, never were. Only Single Adjustable Sports have the secondary position.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm glad I asked before taking them off the car/apart. I thought maybe another snap ring ridge mightve been hiding under the perch that I couldn't see.

Sam - I'd actually called the shop earlier and got the VM to ask you about this first hand. The car is a lightweight in comparison to other 4th gens, but the front end sits low with your Strano lowering springs on it compared to most I've seen. I guess I'll throw a spacer below the mounts to bring the nose up a tad.

Pardon the dirt, it had just been unloaded after a 1200 mile trip.

Front looks fine to me, pretty normal. Rear looks a bit higher than average. Could be lots of things, hard to say not knowing what you have doing back there. Bigger axle will do that. LCA w/urethane and brackets will do that. Even a mis adjusted PHB can.

But it's also not a great photo with the downward angle and the fact the driveway clearly slopes and the lower end of the car is on the higher end of the driveway.

I'll get a better pic - that's all I had to work with at the moment. Rear had isolators in, they've been removed now. Stock 10 bolt, stock 1LE LCAs and bushings, PHB is right on. Seems nose down compared to others, but I'm not blaming anyone/anything for this - I know all cars are different.

Main thing is the car is scraping everywhere on our shitty roads here etc and I'm tired of it so it's gonna come up a bit. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a more correct way to get the nose up with these shocks than put a spacer under them

Nope. The simple answer is a shim under the shock mounting blade. Washers will do that fine, no need for a fancy milled piece.

Added a grade 8 nut and washer under the mounting spade that measured right at 1/2" together to bring the front height up some from where it was. Sits about perfect now, 26 1/16" fender height on driver side, 26 1/4" on passengers side. Not sure whats up with the variance, but I'm sure they'll continue to settle a tad and I haven't had a passenger in the car yet.

The variance isn't a variance, at least in any sort of abnormal way. If you would weigh the car you would see that it does not weigh the same amount on each front, or each rear corner. But the same springs are used for both front and both rears. As such there is always some degree of difference.

And if you had measured stock, I'd lay money that it wasn't exactly the same to start with.

That makes me feel better about it. I wasn't going to tinker with it anymore, but glad to know it's typical.

Not uncommon to see 1/2" difference left to right on stock cars. Add in other factors like wear on the upper mounts, control arm bushing condition, etc. and the weight of the car, it's kind of amazing they sit as level as they do!
