Default need help 94 lt1 intermittent no start

first time posting here
I have a 94 firebird lt1 m6 and it will sometimes shut off while in driving. every now and then it will start back up just turning the key sometimes I have to jump start it and sometimes even that will not work it will however start after sitting for a while

when does it shut off you ask? whenever it wants to but I have seen it happen twice when shifting gears at higher rpms and during turns so it seems to be sometimes rpm related you can rev to any rpm without problems when idling I've got good battery good plugs icm has been replaced coil is less than a year oldI inspected the coil connections and the white ignition control wire listed as number 423 in the dealer service manual is not connected to anything it just hangs there however I can still drive the car without it when it runs. perhaps my wiring has been messed up by a previous owner?any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the fuel pump to me. Same thing happened to me I could start the car and drive it fine and then once I parked the car maybe start but refuse to idle and just die off until a few hours later when it would start and drive fine like nothing happened, until parked again. Replaced icm and coil nothing. replaced fuel pump and car was as good as new

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge to test the fuel pump.

I will try this again soon I know that even when the car doesn't start I can still hear it priming.

last time I tested the pressure it was good but I also know that my problem is intermittent

I read on another thread that the opti controls timing for injectors and spark so if it craps out it might not fire the injectors or spark plugs so if I have better weather tomorrow ill test the injectors for a pulse

just thinking here
for my car to run it needs
1 ignition switch when you turn the key
2 fuel pump is told to prime
3 starter is told to turn engine
4 opti for timing
5 coil and icm (replaced new)
6 computer controlls almost everything
7 wiring harness must have good connection to all necessary components
