C5 Deep Dish - 17" or 18"
I'm getting ready to order new wheels for my '96 Trans Am and have decided on the C5 deep dish wheels. I am undecided on 17" or 18" at this point. I LOVE the look of the wheels on the Trans Am in the pic below.
Does anyone know what size the wheels are?
I PMed the guy who I think owns it but I haven't heard back yet.

18 x 10.5 rear......315 tires
18 x 9.5 front.....275 tires
My rear wheels were recently widend to 12.5"....getting 335 tires.
But beware of OE Wheels if you get chrome....their chrome plater in China SUCKS. 6 months and the chrome is trashed, falling off and chipping everywhere.
I sent mine to get stripped and re-chromed by a real chrome plating company. If you try to get them covered under warranty, they will tell you that brake dust caused it.

Those pictures were from a few seasons ago. I now run Et streets.
I liked the nt05r a lot and if I never went to the track that's what I would run. They handle a bit better than Et streets.
You get more miles out of the Nt05r but they do not hook as good as the Et streets.
They are all around a very good radial.

I'm thinking I'll probably do 18x9.5 / 18x10.5 and run 275/40/18 fronts and 305/35/18 tires. I like a little more sidewall than most of the guys running 18's and really like the 18s with those size tires. They're within 1% diameter so I should be good for ABS/TCS. Front has a slightly taller sidewall, unfortunately, but only by 0.13" so hopefully not enough to be noticeable.
