I am a bit of a car noob. However, I am getting closer and closer to the end of my 65 Chevelle LS Swap. Running a company and having 2 kids has really limited my car time. I was wondering where I might find some car shows in the Houston area?
I live in the Houston area, but work, and keep the car in the Dayton/Liberty area. I was wondering if any of the car nuts on here might be in this area. I basically just jumped into this, b/c I have always liked cars, and just wanted a challenge. Now I am about complete with the car, but hell I don't know anyone personally to bounce ideas off of or anything long those lines.
I know this almost sounds like a match.com ad, but thought I would just see if there were some like minded people out in this part of the world.
It's been awhile but I believe the Kemah meet is still going on. I believe its on Saturday nights at the Home depot at 146 and 518. Might wanna double check on that though.
Every Friday at 6pm to 10pm a lot of cars gather in Pearland at the Home Depot. It's pretty organized and crazy stuff like burnouts are not allowed. It's a good crowd of different cars. I go when I can.
The organizer is a AMSOIL dealer and he's old school and cool as ****. He is the Chair for the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce's Car and Bike show. I sit on the board with him as a committee member.
The Friendswood Car and Bike Show is this weekend at Stevenson Park. About 200 cars will be there.
We can still use more car entries and feel free to come and enjoy the show. A lot of the cars are not perfect, but some are gorgeous. I'll be a judge at the event, so feel free to come by and we can meet. Heck, we can always use more judges! Lol
