For cam sensor Do you just need a different timing chain cover and extension wire to run to sensor. I guess they make just a extension wire for knock sensors to reach side of block. But if oil pressure sensor doesn't go behind intake. Where does it go now
The oil pressure sensor is in the stock location. I opted not to run knock sensors. And yes you need a gen 4 timing cover and also a gen 4 timing set. The timing cover should come with the cam sensor. And then you'll need the cam sensor extension harness. Also a gen ls2 valley cover. It comes with its on rear cover.

Doesn't the Gen III OPSU screw into the block and Gen IV screw into the valley cover?
Lil John Motorsports have had 3 dart blocks come up eith hairline cracks in them. Therefore i recommend another block over the dart.
Heres a pic of a dart block... look closely
The SHP is cheaper than the LSX block... comes with 6-bolt 1/2" head mounting, 4-bolt 7/16" splayed main caps, priority oiling, reuses the stock pan...
Basically it's like getting the topend attachment and bore spacing of the LSX block with the oiling and bottom end attachment of a race-prep SBC. But it uses all LS1 components.
So a lot of the oiling issues with the LS motors goes away and the main cap walk is cleared up by using splayed caps that are substantially beefier. I believe the 1/2" head studs are standard with it as well.

Wasn't that off a car that broke the crank in half?
