Default Using abase tune with different injecters with holley dominator

Hey guys. Im firing up my turbo lq4 and having a hard time getting it to idle and a good just base tune to get everything up to temp and then go from there. If I use like one of denmahs tunes or other ones, but say he has 210's and Im using 80s. If I change that in the settings, will the ecu automatically adjust for that. I know its just a starting point and not what to run cause all tunes are different. Just asking for as a start up if that would work?

You need the injector data for that injector, Not just change the size. What injector are you running?

When I bought my ID850's I had to e-mail them for the Holley data.

Fuel Injector Information - Set - Off Time
Description: The injector off time curve (or dead time) is basically the effective time where there is no flow between the time an injector is commanded open and closed. This is specific to every injector as well as the system operating voltage. Pressure also affects this number. The 1x16 curve in the software accounts for varying system voltage.
Holley includes a sheet that has this data for all of the injectors Holley offers as well as some other commonly used injectors. If this information is not entered correctly, the base table fuel flow numbers will not reflect what the real fuel flow is. Also if the system operates under different voltages, system stability can be affected, especially at idle. Note that injector information is available in the contents section “Appendixes” in your software.

This might help you but you might want to try to confirm it with http://www.siemensdekafuelinjectors.com/injector-data/

It would probably be a good idea for you to read the Holley tuning manual...again...and again...and again...

Thanks Project. Thats great advice. I will def do that.
Even doing that though, I still need the correct settings for the injectors. I used the info on that link to adjust the off time on the injectors. Now the car wont even start. haha Plus realized my yellow top took a crap on me. I didnt think it would be so hard to find the correct info for the deka 80's. Seeing as how many thousands of people run them. lol

Also though when changing the injector off time. I also upgraded everything to the newest v4. So now I'm not sure if it was the injector change or the version upgrade. Until I really know what Im doing though, Im just shooting in the dark. Im literally reading the holley tuning manual right now. Thanks for the advice Project.

Not necessarily...After a firmware upgrade, he needs to do a TPS Autoset. Could be just that.

Also, remember that once the firmware has been updated, matching software must be used on the laptop...

Get a hold of Los, he's the man with the holley! He'll get it up and running perfect and he does a tutorial with you.

Yep. I did upgrade my tablet and laptop and ecu.learned the hard way they were all different. Lmao I did forget that!! Thanks! I am totaly going to have Los do it. I am actually messaging him. Just wanted to have the car ready for when I can do the appointment with him. Not doing everythong with him, then find out I have a coolent leak or something stupid and waste the time. I went through the e85 section and changed all that to begin with.

Did the tps autoset and car fired up! Thank you for that! Still wont stay running at idle and sounds like crap. Thats all in the tune im sure and hoping. Lol weirdest thing though and I searched the forums and havent seen anywhere else. It says im in first gear, mph reads and shows it shifting to 2nd. All while the car is sitting in park. Anyone else seen that?? 4l80e
