Dont know much about LS engines except for what ive learned in the past couple weeks on this forum. Glad its here to help me with my build.
Had a 3 year project with a 400whp goal, that unfortunately took a **** on the final dyno tune. So i sold all my rotary garbage and purchased an LS1 drop out from a 2000 F body camaro.
The goal is to put 400whp to the wheel before the 100 shot of nitrous.
Heres the plan:
1. Cam: 224 112 +4 good streetable cam with flat torque curve, and a lil lopey. +50rwhp???
2. I know i need valve springs. Not sure which ones to get or what the differences are. I'm thinking comp 918s, but thats just from what i read on other people's setups.
3. Short header with catless X straight pipe. Cold air intake. Port TB. +20rwhp
4. NX Plate wet kit, 100 shot.
Any insight on this would be much appreciated and i look forward to working with all of you on this project.
Brake booster, windshield wiper motor and arms, windshield grill reinstalled. Front body harness cleaned up and wrapped with nylon.
Mocking up intake manifold setup. 30lb injectors on the way.
New melling pump shimmed and installed. Water pump housing, alternator, pulleys, belt installed. Cracked my damn oil pan near the oil filter. 250 dollar mistake. Installed short tube headers. set the manifold on to see how its going to look. Did a little shooting on sunday as well.
Welcome, and you're making the right choice. A few years ago I sold my first WS6 and got into one of the two FD's I had. The rotary was awesome when it worked, but it just couldn't stand up to any sort of abuse like my LS engines always have.
LS6 valley cover with PCV installed. Had to shave some ribs from the LS1 intake to get it to sit flush. There is a collision with the casting as shown below.
Got the harness pulled through the firewall. I was dreading this, but it ended up being way easier than I thought.
waiting on some things before i install the intake manifold. Knock sensors and harness, MAP sensor, O2 sensors, and LS6 steam pipe.
Also waiting on Fuel filter an AN hose and Fittings. Ditched the stock FC hardlines and decided to go full AN line.
Have at least another $800 of **** to buy.

New intake manifold gaskets, Intake foam, steam pipes installed, knock sensors installed, MAP sensor installed, Intake Manifold installed and torqued, NGK 3347 gapped to .035 and installed, and the upper part of the engine harness plugged in.
