I've searched around the web for days trying to find the correct replacements. Stock for the 1999 GMC Sierra have the bulb soldered or molded to the socket base as one piece. The stock 194 bulbs do not just pull out. The tabs on these are off set making for a 22.5* turn, others I found were all 45* turn resulting in the 2 contacts going past where they should line up to lock.
Forgot to mention I only need the socket bases for the 194 and socket bases for the 4 small 74, doing LED's.
Thanks

Anyone know of a source for these? De soldering the stock bulbs from the bases looks unrealistic, really nothing to solder the LED's to. bulb town has the bulbs with sockets but not sure if they can be removed, other socket bases Iv'e found rotate to far to lock in place and the 2 contacts that are so post to make contact with the circuit board end up being turned past the ends of the circuit board.
Not my pics but see the problem, I need bases that have offset locking tabs like the the originals and that have the new style metal contacts like the new base.

^Ive got a feeling the tabs on those socket bases are not going to line up correctly with the circuit board on the back of the gauge cluster, might get lucky though and they work. I'll post pics of the new bases vs the old to clarify. You're right, the smaller bases for the smaller 74 LEDS for turn signals are the wrong bases.
These are the small base sockets, I have the 74 leds but need the correct socket bases, your right ones I got are way to small, won't work. Here's the new 194 socket base, fits but socket base tabs turn past the circuit board contacts when filled turned to lock. Guessing that what you mean by soldering them into the correct position on the curcuit board? General picture of circuit board, base comparison.
I did this on my 96 Z28 . Like you mention, the locks end up stopping past the contacts. I just took a hacksaw blade and took out the detents/locks on both sides of each twist lock so I can rotate them 360 degrees, stopping on the solder contacts. Dash is nice and bright blue now.
