Default Fays2 Watts Link With Dual Exhaust

I have searched on here and google looking for anyone that has used the Fays2 Watts Link and also has dual over the axle exhaust. Also checked out Fays2 web site. It says exhaust mods are needed to use their Watts link with dual exhaust. They say it clears with a 3" single over the axle exhaust. I have 2.5" duals but I want to use the Fays2 link. So has anyone run a dual exhaust with a Fays2 Watts link?

Running kooks on mine, they're TIIIGHT, but I don't see how you could have issues with 2.5s unless they're just a bad design over the axle.

Thanks for the response. Happy to hear that. I've got the hooker blackheart duals. Do you have any pics of yours that you could post up?

I know ours clears the Kooks True dual set up, unless they have altered it since the last time we did it. Of course that does not answer your question about theirs but I have had customers switch to ours because it gives more room for exhaust and is a lot lighter.

I have a question about getting one. I have dual exhaust but under the axle will this cause problems?

That is a tuffy right there, if it is below the swaybar it may be fine but that's hard to tell.

After speaking with Sam Strano and taking into consideration that War Shrike fit dual 3" exhaust with the Fays2 Watts link, I went ahead and ordered. Thanks everyone for all the help.

IMO you buy parts that improve performance then make other stuff fit. If a Fays2/BMR/Midwest Watts link interferes with your exhaust...you start cutting and modifying the exhaust to work. Prioritize things.

I'd be worried fitting a pre-made dual 2.5' kit over a watts link. I would be fine custom making a dual 3" fit over a watts link.

That is sound advice as there is only so many ways to mount suspension items but multiple different ways to route exhaust.

I will never buy a pre-made exhaust system again given the tolerances and the things I do with my cars.

I will take a custom made aluminized steel system over a stainless Kooks system all day. The attention to detail and fitment of a custom setup is well worth it to get proper clearances.

Also why I make my own systems with mandrel bends. Bolt all the important parts on that have a big effect on a cars performance THEN fit the exhaust however you can.

Or just dump it under the car and move on to more important things

People like to daily their cars...like myself. No point to run dumps when you can run a proper exhaust.

I'll take the weight penalty to be able to hear myself think after an hour drive.
