Are you asking on the one that came out of the 4.8.??
I'll have to look. Still have it though. Thought about having it reground but a buddy of mine wants it to make a lamp out of since he can route the cord through the hollow center. Giving him an LS2 cam that I also have laying around since they're basically worthless
COOL....guess I'll need to check the back of the known 99" Camaro cam I was planning to put into this beast........
Got a few updates coming later this evening....pics and what not
Buddy coughed up the other free 862 head....each side has two broken bolts
Was able to remove one easily with vice grips....the other three are gonna require some bolt welding/heating etc. to get out....will be documented for laughs as per the usual

Sweet! Be good to know if that's correct info on the cam.
As for that trick, I have told a few people about it prior to them actually removing the heads. Some Believe, Some don't. 1 of my customers was so grateful, he took care of me by getting me some extra billable work at his company.
That’s so cool. MAST Black Label got nothing on these....
So much more work to be done and I’m gonna have mine cut .035”, new seals and new blue springs
Sooooo this is my first 4.8 and the buddy who gave it to me Can’t understand why I even want to **** around with this. I’m like, dude; it’s TEN degrees in this fricken state and I need something to do after a long stressful work day to keep me busy and out of trouble. I seriously enjoy taking apart old engines and making them nice again. Always being resourceful yet thorough. I sell them and when they run again it’s like full closure. Goofy YES but tis’ who I am.
I came across some merchandise that I could send back to that parts place that starts with the letter “J”. Figured to what pistons and rings I could find in stock
Well, slim Pickens causing some changes. The only 4.8 flat tops they had were 05-09 gen IV full floating and 10-14 variable cam timing with notches. No 99-04 press fit stuff. So started looking at 5.3 stuff and could only find .75mm Sealed Power. God I hope those rusted *** cylinders do clean up at .030” instead of the .040” I originally intended to go on this block. Turns out that after the credit from my returned parts, these new pistons and rings costed me TWENTY SIX bucks. Just sucks that now with a .005” clean up on the block deck, plus .035” surface on the 862s it will only end up at 9.6:1 compression. Guess my potential buyer will just need to feed it an extra atmosphere of pressure
Nice and new

Reason: Changed pic
They don’t stock them. Few weeks to ship and 36 bucks each. The crap set I’m getting were in stock to ship and 27 bucks each. Sorta being frugal with this build. Got a guy who is gonna bore/hone/deck for $300 cash. Even a slight possibility of trading some old Gen I domed TRW 12:1 pistons on rods to get him down to 200-250 range. Another $325 dollar order of other stuff that I’ll see if WS6 store can fill/match and wallah; El Cheapo 298” CID. Then it’ll be time to sell minus balancer, valve covers, or intake.
Those are the Silvolite version of the same pistons. 3482HC.75MM
Darn it. I was originally looking for the 1mm(.040”) at that time. Before I switched gears to looking for the cheapest in stock. That link you posted would have costed me forty more bucks and certainly ten plus compression would have helped such a small engine. Great; now I have to bowl blend the heads to help the lesser 9.6:1 pile.
Second cleaning after fully disassembled
Valves wire wheel cleaned and stems scotch brite polished
Next up bowl massaging
