Still haven't talked to a PDR guy about the dent , but today I did snag a "new" fender at the junkyard. Guy at the checkout was former Army, and hooked me up since I'm active duty - free fender . It's not the right color, but it's straight, so if the existing fender can't be corrected by PDR, I'll have a nice one to get painted and install in its place. (I think the dent is probably not fixable by PDR. I said months ago that it's not on the crease, but if I run my hand along the outer face of the fender, I can feel it's been bulged out slightly there at the dent.)

Cleaned my new to me volant Cai that made the journey across the pond.

Doesn't add power. I didn't expect it to .It does however allow me to pass the inspection for my modified car registration .

It does rev much freer and under part load it revs as fast as at idle. Very happy with the setup.

Doing rear cradle bushings along with diff bushing and block. Since the car is in the air I will work my way to the motor and trans mount as well, how fun!

Got the break in gunk flushed from the new trans. Drain and filled the 8.8 with ford racing oil 75-140 plus 4oz additive .

Fixing a clearance issue with the exhaust so it will quit tapping on the subframe.

My CTSV's Diff got some new fluid today during lunch , and some fresh oil for the engine!

Update:
Used Mobil 1 LS oil in the diff and my rear gear is QUIET. It sounded like I had bad hubs since I've owned it. I hope it stays like this.

Took the car, bad DSS axles and all and flogged it all the way up Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah yesterday.

Spent some quality time with the misses and got some fresh air. The tranzilla is absolutely straight beast and smooth as glass.

Ahh the upside down lower grille, that brings me back.

I changed my oil because i either popped a head gasket or because my car is a garage queen and is rarely ever driven hard lately, there was water in the oil. yay.

Probably going to stay upside down until I install the new fogs in a month or two.

Ordered a new battery.

My 10 year old ODYSSEY is not holding a full charge anymore.

How much water? Coffee with cream and sugar look or worse? Cream and sugar is not too big a deal

Just changed my trans fluid. I believe it was a 22MM wrench for the temp sensor for those without an American wrench handy. Then I filled it with Pentosin FFL-4. I know, not d/m III. This was recommended by an appropriate source. Any issues and I'll post. It shifts nicer than before

At 65k miles I have fresh:
GM cold climate PS Fluid
Mobil 1 gear oil
Fresh fluid in my clutch hydraulics - amazing difference in pedal feel.
Fresh transmission fluid

Next is:
replace buttons on radio and screen
Repalce tail shaft seal + check the carrier bearing
dream of headers....

Sounds like you and I are at the same point in owning / maintaining our CTS-Vs.

Drove mine yesterday, nothing much to report during winter.

Got my creative steel trans mount in. Stock mount was definitely bad, but now it feels like my motor mounts may be shot. Going to order those.

This weekend I will be doing new brakes front and rear, will have a review on the duralast gt pads. Also got my threaded stick and creative steel shift ball to install.
