Slight update. Cam slipped right in. Popped the original main bearings back in and layed the crank in too. See if I can find my notes on main bolt stretch from my OEM fasteners LS2 build three years ago. Piston install coming

How correct you are sir. Block was cut .005” to a supposed 9.237”
Guess Lil’ Brownie will be 9.4:1 instead

Finished popping them in. Didn’t have a 3.81” tapered compressor so had to FIT (Pantera Lance) them with screwdrivers

Ahhhhhhh; it’ll work I hope

Anyway, a friend bought it from me for $165 and put it in his Silverado that already had close to 600k miles on it. The 5.3 is running great to this day, with another 150k since I had it.
Check out the WS6Store complete rebuild kits. I bought one for a 6 liter going in my nephews Silverado hot rod. The price is very hard to beat!
Where the F is my coolant going? Been topping my truck off for years, never makes any sense. 320K and still going but dude, where is it going? Not joking.

**** brown, lol. It actually makes the block look dirty again. Good thing is a leak here or there isn't gonna ruin the look of the motor.

From where it started to now is hilarious IMO
If it just makes 6-700 flywheel horsepower to get his chassis all set up before catastrophic failure; it'll be a huge success.......TOTAL OUT OF POCKET; $750

New LS2 chain on OE gears

Next up was oil pump time. Squirted some oil in the gears. Spun them around by hand then used loctite paste on the bolts
