Got my bell after waiting for a while. Just have to get some hydraulics and a clutch kit.

So I have everything I need for the most part, I am going to fab up my own trans crossmember. I ordered the LUK Clutch kit 04-173, and I think the LS7 one is 04-905. I'm hoping that even though it was fairly inexpensive it will hold up. I also got a slave cylinder, and a set of ARP bolts so I'm hoping that'll be a good clutch job. Going to try to get most of it installed over my spring break so I'm not fighting issues with it this summer. I also got pigtails for the VSS and RLO, the VSS does say coolant temp sensor but I was assured that it was a speed sensor and if not I can return it. I think T56 and th350 use the same yoke? I could be wrong but I put a th350 yoke in the output for just a dust cover and it seemed to slide right on.

Also that pigtail for the RLO could be wrong. If it is I can just return it.

Did you get the pigtail for the Reverse lights too or are you doing something different with that?

I haven't figured that one out yet, how did you do yours?

Drastically over paid on the slave, usually most all of them are made by AP and run in the $75-100 range at most. You still need bellhousing to motor bolts, bellhousing to transmission bolts, slave bolts, while in there it is a very worthwhile investment to get a speed bleeder for your slave.

Okay.. I have trans to bell bolts, included with the bellhousing I bought. I also have bell to block bolts. If needed I can go to a local hardware store to get slave to trans bolts. I heard about a speed bleeder and was thinking about getting one.

Looking good. I am going to get a speed bleeder too. I wished I would have just done it when I mated the trans to the motor earlier...

Got my order, and hope to have it installed over my spring break but we’ll see. I’m going to try and build my own cross-member and see what I can come up with. I know there’s polenta of people on here that have built their own.

Yeah LS1/6 I believe. The Luk 04-905 is the LS7 if I remember right.

Thanks, that's what I plan on going with, the ls1 or ls6. Where did you order from, and is that an ACDelco? Seems high to me, or I gamble on part store parts.

Stampede.

I ordered this off Summit. And it’s a Luk, I thought I read somewhere that they are the ones who build the OEM clutches for GM. Note that it doesn’t come with flywheel-pressure plate bolts.

Finally got around to installing master cylinder. I just have to TIG the sleeve with the heim joint that came with the bracket. Fits awesome, no issues with it. Even told you where to drill hole on clutch petal for the new setup. I have some pictures of it, but they don’t really do justice with how dirty my firewall is. I’ll have to clean it again.

Might be a shot in the dark, but is there a fuel pump system that you can put into the stock tank? I understand there’s in-tank pumps, but is there any drop in system specifically for First gen?

Did you use a stock ls1 master cylinder for your hydraulics?
I can’t decide which master to go with yet for mine but I need to buy my shirt and finish my swap.

Yeah just LS1 master, and speedtech bracket. Was just bolt in basically and pretty nice quality as well.
