The stock 8.8 has held up to some serious abuse. It's been a ticking time bomb for quite some time now. I ordered a c clip elliminator kit from strange. 35 spline axles and 5/8 studs. It should handle some big power now.
Wrapped up the rear end tonight. Very happy with how the 5/8 studs look on the wheels. Took it for a spin, feels like under hard acceleration the car stays straight unlike before going all over the place on the street. The stock limited slip must of been toast.
Went to the red list event at Famoso on Sunday. The car ran great only issue is body roll and couldn't stay in it at the launch. Need to do some suspension work and ordered a team z anti roll bar.
Made a total of 9 runs and hot lapped the car a few times. Very pleased how the car performed no issues at all.
Great numbers and ET/MPH. I know your turbo is the billet wheel & .96 exhaust housing...but what compressor cover is that, modified TC?
This gives me hope for my 68mm turbine set-up.
Idea of the car's weight?
Crank it up and get that 9 man!
The turbo has done really well so far. It has really taken a beating and keeps on going. I do want to step up to a larger unit like a s480. I think the 68mm turbine is way too small for the 6.0 and can't breath up top.
As far as the cover I have no idea I got the turbo used and can't even find specs on it since it's a billet wheel and bb 7668. I am looking to sell it if anyones interested.
With me in it the car weighs 3100 I was so close to a 9 and ran a 10.0 three times. I was so sure I'd hit a 9 that day but man it seems harder than it looks.
Nice!! That turbo is not quite done yet based on your MPH gains in the 2nd half. I would put my focus on getting that 60' down into the mid-1.30s at least, as you're probably giving up about .5 in E.T. Chassis setup, converter and finding the right launch RPM/boost/timing and ramp would be my focus.

Thanks!! The converter is a billet tripple disk from circle D 3800 stall. I really need to focus on the suspension Were gonna add some timing down low I think it's only at around 8 degrees and ramps up to 15. The tune is pretty conservative. Also gonna add some boost and maybe find the limit of the turbo. With a little work 9s are definitely attainable I believe
Time to focus on the appearance of this thing and make it looks a little nicer. Got some Cobra calipers with 13 inch rotors came out much cleaner than previous setup.
I have the same front brakes, definitely a good upgrade and nice rattle can work lol. Do they clear the wheels without any grinding?
If so, is the backspacing on those wheels 3.5"? Sorry I'm on my phone and it's too hard to search back through.
I'm definitely interested in that upgrade. Please post some details on the parts needed, especially the brackets. Had to modify my spindles to fit Aerospace brakes and wonder if these will still fit. I'll give up a little bit of weight for better stopping power if it avoids me burning up those thin Aerospace rotors or having to pull the chute....PITA.

They do clear the wheel but is really close maybe about 1/8 to spare. These wheels are 17x4.5 with a 2.2 backspace.

I got the calipers from my local kragen parts store. They are rebuilt units. They are around 65 bucks with the brackets but there's a 30 dollar core charge. They bolt right up nothing else is needed. I just have to get the Cobra brake lines. I got a deal on the rotors for 25 bucks a piece. This was a great deal I see this setup used go for around 400 bucks still. The new edge brakes I had surprisingly stoped the car great and I was going through the traps at probably 150+. These should brake even a little better.
