Default Any reason or advantage to not use stock crank

I am currently building a long rod LS2. I have 6.3 rods, custom pistons and a new LS2 block. The engine will make around 700hp and be turbocharged. I do plan on running it to 7500-8000 occasional on the track. Can the stock crank handle this? I think it can so I guess my next question is what is the best year crank to use? I can really go 24x or 58x. Anyone got any good things for sale?

Also if I run a stock crank, I would assume I should run non narrowed bearings but I dont see a listing for King bearings that are non narrowed in the XP line. Can you run a stock crank with narrowed bearings?

Thanks for your input but can you give me a little more details? Im okay running the HP it seems like it should be okay as I dont put a huge amount of miles on this engine.

It doesn’t matter, you can run the narrowed bearings on a stock crank without problems.

Okay that is what I kinda figured. Its just ever so slightly narrower I am guessing. You got any opinion on what bearing to run?

Everyone think stock crank should be fine as long as I get a 6.0 one?

You will be pushing the limits of a stock crank once you exceed 1,000 hp. Not saying it can't be done but the question becomes longevity.

The hp are a bimetal aluminum bearing similar to stock.

get enough power to get the stock crank moving and start scrubbing the middle mains and much better off on that bearing
