Default Street driving difference between 3600 stall and 4000+ stall

My car right now has a 4000+ stall in it and honestly I'm getting a little tired of driving it on the street with it. Tuner has done most he can with it and it is better than it was but still rpms stay up around 3000 going through the gears, it's an 8L90 so it has a lot gears to go through.

I'm thinking of having it restalled down to around 3600, circle D said that would be ok with my decent sized cam, but would it be worth it? Would it help street driving enough to warrant doing it? How would it affect launching? I can rev to about 3500 now on the foot brake before it starts trying to push though the converter.

Can you post some more specifics on the car?

weight, tire size, gear ratio, cam specs, engine specs, power adder(if any), shift rpm

It's a 2016 Camaro SS so 3600ish

tire size is 305/45/17

cam is 229/239 .635/.635 111 LSA

engine is stock other than cam

no power adder

shifts around 7k

My issue is I have a 4200 stall right now for this cam and street driving sucks, rpms are always around 3500ish when pulling away from a light or driving under 60 mph. I was hoping I could restall it to around 3400 or 3600 since I am going to add a procharger soon anyway and was told I need to tighten it up for that and that it would also cause it to shift a little earlier in everyday driving.

Make sure its leaving in first and locking up properly. if the converter is comparable to our converters in terms of setup vs. stall RPM then yes i would tighten it as well IMO for the planned procharger.

Sounds like to me the shift rpms are too high and lockup is too high. can it short shift the 1-2 and then lock it after the 3rd shift or something like that? or will that lug it too much? I've played with timing and got alot of the lag feeling out before, if your timing isnt optimized (alot of tuners wont go through the trouble out getting the best you can out of it, not saying yours didnt...but could be a factor) then not only will it feel sluggish, it'll feel like a bigger stall than it is.

Thanks for the posts, I think I'm just going to deal with it until I go procharger and have it stalled down to around 3600.

Here is a video going through the gears driving normally. Look normal to you guys for a 4200 stall?

Looks perfect to me.
Here is my 4400. Different trans, rear gear and converter company but it's a loose n/a converter.
I like loose converters lots

Yeah that looks almost identical to mine. I am sure it is running the way it is supposed to I was just wondering if dropping it down to around 3600 would make it not rev as high in daily driving.
