Looking for a bit of advice, I've had these wheels for years 18 x10.5 all around and they fit fine, but I've had the urge lately to get the wheels more flush with the fenders?
I'm thinking 1/4 inch up front will be fine, and 1/2 inch for the rears.
I've got 295 30s on each. Whe. I used a caliper probe I got roughly 15mm from side wall to quarter li. Front was more like 6 ish.
That's where my 1/4 and 1/2 inch numbers came from was curious if anyone else had experience with it. Whe. I searched the numbers where all over the place
Thanks! It needs a good cleaning but I've been making a mess with ghe 2nd gen build. I'm about to finish stripping the underside it and prime it. Than the mess will be less for a while haha.
Highly recommend it if you ever consider the plastic floors. I've had them down since 2015 i think?
I have 18x10.5 +50mm offset (no spacers) on all 4 corners of my car and they sit just about flush with the fender lips, not sure what offset those are but just to give you a reference on what fits on these cars, of course I have a Camaro and have heard that T/A's have a little wider quarters so take it as you may
Thanks for chiming in! These are 56 offset (I think it's the only thing available on the site anymore)
The pontiac quarters do flare out a little bit more than the camaros it gives them a but of an hour glass shape if you look down on the roof. The fronts are actually really close, close enough I debated not bothering. But it does grab the wheel well a bit at full lock, so maybe this will alleviate that. These fit fine and I've not had rubbing issues, it's just to push the tire more parallel with the body.
I ended but buying my spacers from summit so I'll report back once they arrive. Hopefully I won't need new studs.
So visually this makes me happy, pushed put more flush but not so far I feel I need to roll the quarter lip.
Now the bad and what I expected...... I will 100% need longer studs so I'll just do that all around. There's not enough on the rear with what looks like the Dorman replacements to thread a lugnut on so the fronts even with a thinner spacer won't give me enough thread to feel comfortable about it.
So I need to dig up what the ARP part number is for the long studs.
