Default 1996 SS eating fuel pumps

Hey guys I have a 1996 M6 SS with 73k miles

I had the original fuel pump start to die and replaced it with the Racetronix kit and it has killed 2 of the racetronix fuel pumps in under 400 miles. Any ideas of where to start looking ? Any help is appreciated guys.

Did you upgrade any of the fuel pump wiring?? Are you sure the pumps are dead?? I had 1 racetronix pump dead out of the box. I did have an issue with cavitation where the pumps would scream to high hell but turned out the pumps were right up against the baffling in the tank.

Other than the Racetronix wiring harness being garbage their 340 pumps in my tank have been solid for me

Bad grounds?
Low voltage?
Obstructed vent?
Volt drop test to see what's up electrically is a start.

Voltage drop test would be the first thing I would do.

What liter per hour pump did you go with? Also,
1) racetronix pumps are china knockoff walbro pumps. I asked them and they would not deny or confirm that. I would not buy their brand pump if I needed something I can depend on. Nothing against them, I've purchased three pumps from them, two walbro and an AEM.
2) if you bought a 340 pump, the wiring and connectors are not up to the task of supporting that. You've likely damaged/melted/charred connectors somewhere in the circuit.

Racetronix pumps are a turbine pump where walbro are gerotor pumps. I've had both side by side and apart. They're not the same

12v going to and ground from the pump needs to be min 14ga, if it's a higher amp pump it needs to be bigger wire. Check connections make sure no burned terminals.

You can easily get away with 14ga wire using 340 pumps IF you have a short distance from power to pump. I've got twin 340's in my tank using 14ga wiring with zero issues but my wire only spans 3 feet.

Short distance is the key, I'm putting those numbers out if the setup is factory powered from the Fuse Box in the front corner.
