24s or 58s crankshaft position sensor?
I installed a 2023 LS3 6.2 430HP.crate engine in my 61Impala. I used my LS1 computer and harness so I had to buy a Lingenfelter computer to change the 58s to a 24s. So I just got back from s 5,000 mile road tour and during that drive the crate engine misfired a few times. I got a fault code indicting that was the problem. Not backfire just a misfire. Should I use a 24s or a 58s. Thanks!

Always use the sensor for the reluctor used.
in your case, 58x since your LS3 has that

Doesn't matter what block the crank is hidden inside of.
Sensor must match the reluctor installed on the crank. Period. Any/all of that, interchanges.
AFAIK the Lingenfelter box takes in the 58x signal and outputs the 24x one for the older ECM. Therefore it's expecting ... a 58x signal. Therefore the finished product should contain a 58x reluctor and 58x sensor. Any other combo is going to be problematic one way or another.

If the engine runs and you just got back from a long trip you obviously have the correct sensor.
0411ecus can be finicky with misfire codes. It’s common to ‘turn down’ the misfire threshold tables to resolve that.

I was off by a year, it's 2001-2 LS Fbody, before that was different as I mentioned. So yea, pretty confident and 50% wrong..

The 0411 refers to the hardware which was in 99-02 Camaros among many others.
you are likely referring to the 2002 operating system which is the most common one people switch to. It’s the *156 one if my memory is right.
that os along with all other OS’s from 99-02 0411 pcms will work on all of those physical pcms.

Looks like the nuance here is that link says 0411 ecus were only 01-02 but ‘0411’ became the ‘coke’ referring to all the compatible ecus. There are at least two service numbers that are physically and functionally identical, used in 99-02 Camaros and many other models that use those service number pcms. They are all 100% interchangeable from a hardware perspective.

op said ls1 computer and all 99+ ecms are 100% interchangeable. You said 0411. Which are all 100% interchangeable with every other 99+ ecu. This is the same as arguing the difference between a 706 and 862 head

Only some 706s are castech and only some castechs leak. Survivorship bias. You only hear about the small percent that fail and not the many that never have issues. Same with the ‘infamous’ lnf block porosity. Sure some failed due to that but the millions you never hear about are trucking along just fine.
Anyway, know you know what I meant with that statement.
