9.88 run
Well guys just a few weekends ago I ran high 10's on motor on a nitrous only tune. Well we richened up the motor Pump Gas tune and I hit it with some spray today and went 9.88. Drove it to and from the track again.

Thanks. I'm very happy with it. There are some minor details I'm fixing but that's more because I'm pretty pickey about things.
I did find that post on bullet. There are some pretty bad axx cars in that thread. It's got a tsp408, nitro dave plate w/ dedicated fuel cell with 109 in it, and a half tank of pump gas in the stock tank, t350w/t brake and ptc 4000 nitrous converter, ford 9 narrowed 3inches per side to get the big 295/65/15's mt dr's under the back. All stock suspension, 2 step.
That was a 150 shot that is still a little rich and I think I can still safely go down one more on the fuel jet and as you can tell the 60' is kinda high for this kind of car. This was nowhere close to a perfect pass. There are also mistakes I made as the pilot since my reaction times are getting slow even when it comes to shifting and learning a new car. Since there has never been a 4th gen fbody built to this quaility and extreme uphere in Alaska, there are alot of new things to learn.
I enjoyed passing those 9 second cars that were on the trailers heading out to the track. Full tube chassis, hugh slicks, tin interiors, prostreet. Why. Thats the best part and what I enjoy most about this car. Out running those cars with my street car.

No spin at all. Everything except the motor is all fresh on this car. Still sorting things out with the suspension, which is all new, learning about the 2 step lingenfelter box, and a fresh nitrous jet change. So the spray didn't kick in for about 60' delay from having an empty line. From what a friend of mine said as he watched the run. Which makes sense because it charged hard on the top end.

No vids. Here is a link to the track photographer, burnout pic he took.

I actually looked at your car when it was posted for sale. Def a clean, fast car. But this car I picked up, has really made people up here take notice. There has never been a 4th gen body taken to this extreme. (mini tubs, narrowed 9in, slammed, 30in DR's) I had it at a car show last night and there were alot of people that didn't even know what to think. LOL

TSP did the short block.

Fast 92
Nitro Daves 92 plate w/ dedicated cell. Nos cheater noids.
I think the PRC stage 3 ls6 heads are holding it back some, since those are for the smaller ls6 bore. The afr 225's would probably be a better choice and match the 408's bore better.
I'm still sorting out things on this combo, so we'll see how fast it'll go first.

On these 30" dr's and the 4.11 gears w/ a t 350. I'm going through the lights at about 6500, 6600 rpm which is perfect for my combo.

Congrats man when you said in your 10 second thread that the 150 HP shot actually produced 175 HP to the wheels when you had it on the dyno, I knew it would run pretty good.
I was able to sneak my 346 into the 9's with a 125 dry shot so I knew that 408 would run good when you hit it with the nitrous at the track!
Good luck and be safe the next time out!

This beast still has more left if I get the 2step and suspension figured out
I just put the 100 shot back in which was running 11.7/11.9 afr and 10.02 and that was on the 6 degrees of timing taken out (for the 150 shot), I decided to try one more step down on the fuel jet to see if I can get closer to the 12.1 afr mark that I want to run at. Also added the one click firmer back into the front shocks which is what I had it at on that 10.02 run that did a 1.41 60'. I know getting those two things figured out the 100 shot will go high 9's. If it still goes 9's on the 100 shot I can live with that until I do my 10 point this winter. Then I can work on getting my 9.50 goal.
