I dont know if you guys have been following Rick Head and the Innovative Turbo thirdgen twin turbo camaro. But its stock suspension 89 Camaro, 427 SBC w/ twi T80's @ the Orlando World Finals. Rumor is he won and the best ET ive seen yet is a 7.66.
And who says these suspensions cant handle the power?
LMAO

I watched that car make that pass on saturday. He ran a 7.73 and then a turbo mustang bumped him from the #1 qualifying spot with a 7.70. The camaro comes back out for the last round of qualifying and blast down the track with a 7.66@183 (mph might have been 186 I forget). On sunday he destroyed everybody and won the event. Such a sweet car!

Bob, let's try not to enter into yet another exchange of unpleasantries here. I was not trying to argue with guido, just commenting on t/t sbc cars, which I love.
BTW, you could meet us to the Vegas Bracket Nationals over Thanksgiving and we could figure-out some type of best 2-out-of-3 match against either the Z or stang.

I'll race you heads-up, best 2 out of 3, for whatever bet you like, against any car of yours, but you'll need an Advanced ET license because I expect to run 7.05 to 7.10. I would be amazed if someone would let you drive a car that fast, for two of three races, w/o you having a lot a seat time in it, but who knows.
I'm talking about the Bracket Nationals over Thanksgiving. I don't know if my new motor will be ready for the next Vegas PSCA race, but I will meet you at a future PSCA race. It's all fun, right?

Bob, I dont know if he wanted to argue or not but it was him in fact who said these cars werent made to go that fast so I thought it would be a bit interesting to him in particular to see that.
Anyway, wonder when our group of racers will get that fast?? Wish i had more $$ LMAO

Guido, I said that 4th gen suspensions and unibodies are not designed to go that fast. I can't speak to the differences between 2nd gen and 4th gen Camaro suspensions, and we don't know the tricks he may be using. But he does have a cool car.

I fail to see how a 4-link '69 has anything to do w/ an '89 running a torque arm. That's by far the fastest ANYONE has gone on that setup and it's using readily available parts (BMR as you can see) on a drag radial no less. Why even compare it to another car? This thread had nothing to do with anyone else's setup except Rick's, not some ladder bar car, not a 4-link car.
Hell, I can remember some people saying that the chassis had reached it's limits going 8.50's.

mongse, for some reason I keep recalling this image I saw somewhere a couple years ago...
It had Bruce Willis and that little kid from Sixth Sense and the words on it read, "I see stupid people! The bad part is, they dont even know they're stupid."
EDIT: here ya go stealth, Ill post the pics so you dont tax your brain clicking on the links. I realize it must be tough for you.

You guys are needlessly making this into something it's not. I simply wanted to see photos of the car and you are chosing to make it into an argument. Again, I'm not arguing.
Guido, you are continuing the senseless attacks you made against me earlier this year. I ask for photos, you call me stupid. Why? What do you hope to prove?
Bob, I offer to race you, you don't respond and continue to suggest I want to argue.
Is it possible for either of you guys to act civilly, or do you simply want to attack people?
I'll leave this thread to you.

I cant act civil when you are invovled. Your posts drive me to stupidity.
to me, this post is a clear cut example.
I make a post about a car, using stock suspension running mid 7's. Thats an amazing feat.
Then you make a post about a 69 camaro with a 4 link running in the 6's. Totally unrelated. I can show you about 45 or 50 other cars using 4 links and are f-bodys that are running faster but its not going to lessen how amazing this feat is.
You simply arent grasping the point I made the post in the first place.
