hey guys........
a cage is one of the near future parts going on the car next. i'm expecting the car to run mid 8's or better, but will not excede 8.50 at an event because i don't want a full funny car type cage when on the street. who has what for a cage, and how well has it served you? btw, when the cage goes in, i will have bars going through the firewall to further stiffen the chassis. i may buy the Wolfe Full cage, just not install the bars around my head.
thanks for your input,
Dave

We run a 10/12pt Wolfe cage in the Formula. It is cert to 7.50 for another 2 years. My CE started with a 6pt dual swingout Wolfe then had the front section custom made to go around the dash. It is also cert to 7.50 for 2 more years. Wolfe makes an awesome cage. Fits very well.

I have a full wolfe cage and it is certed. I went 5.96 in the 1/8 (I havn't been to a 1/4 track yet)
RPM has installed 5 full wolfe cages and all of them are certed. (one of the cars went 9.23@150 and one of the cars went 9.4x@145) The other 3 caged cars havn't seen the track yet but will also be deep into the 9s. Wolfe makes some very quality stuff and I run all their suspension also. In fact the 9.23 car went 1.27 60ft with wolfe's stuff. That is all we use around here but they are in the same city as we are also. LOL

ok thanks. i just ordered their lca's and phb. i already have a BMR X-t/a and have no reservations using it with Rick Head running a 7.66 or maybe faster by now. but i've also decided to go with there cage now probably, as well as their through the floor sfc's, wheelie bars, window net, crotch strap bar, etc. etc........anyway, thanks for the info. i think i'll call them to see if they have any 8 sec. f-bodies running their cage yet.

Dave

I custom build all our cages. I do know Wolfe has the best fit of any of the mailorder stuff out there in cages.
Not to knock Wolfe but since you are close to Billingsley why not get Jay to build you one. I know he did Chris Sikoras and he runs 8s. I also bought his black car and was very impressed with the cage in that one.

ok, so what year car is this Steve Turley running with a 1.18 60'?!?!?!?! i think i'll keep what i've got as it's a very stout piece. and Rick is running a 1.37 60' with his. yea it's not what the typical mid 7 sec. car posts for a short time, but still quick.
