Lots of guys are running the stockers, but I just didn't wanna risk it with a high dollar engine setup... I'm running the Jesel shaft mounts on my 408..

wow i wrote this a long time ago!!! must be alot of people runnung the stock rockers...i read somewhere that past 6500rpms you should be carful of valvefloat?? and found out that rev kits work very well for extended high rpm use. looking into a company called Agostino Racing Engines makes a kit that replaces the lifter trays with billet guide plate and small valve springs above the lifters, so has anyone seen or used this at all? tried their website but all i was able to see was motors. might give them a call...come on people post up if you have some info what works, and doesn't??

Those things have been around for many years. No one I know has used them for years. The proper springs for your cam and valves will take care of any float.
Trust me, we have much bigger cams, RPM's and valves than what you're using with no problems.

if so what lifters do you use???? as i understand with the ls1's is that they have an issue with oil staying in the lifter trays, so i would think that this would help alot. are you on solid lifters, i see hyd. lifters for sale here and there what would be best stock or not?? with the lifters. sorry for all the questions its just im in iraq right now and when i get back i plan to finsh my camaro!!! big plans for her.

stock rockers with upgraded pushrods here.
Running:
AFR 205's with .600" springs
TSP 233/239 .600/.603 112LSA cam
7100rpm redline

20K miles on this combo with no parts failures. Only about 20 1/4 mile passes but lots of street action.

Stock rockers and I wanted to upgrade but was talked out of it by the builder. They said it wasn't necessary for the Jesels I wanted. You can send your stockers to I believe Harland Sharp to get upgraded bearings.

I'm changing my rockers to stock to see if this helps me deal with a valvetrain issue.
