I'm still trying to get everything to work it's best. Last year I was leaving on a 200 shot and cutting 1.3X 60's but I was blowing through the converter, I sent it back and had it tightened up but I keep running into other BS problems, Hopefully in a few weeks it will all come together.

Pray to the Nitrous gods for me LOL.

Hey NOYZEE, I'm running 3:55's right now and a glide, how much gear do you think I can get away with? 325-50 Mickey's are on the back.

depends what you rev the car to.
with my car i run 4:30's out back but i rev to 8300 rpm.

if you rev around 6800-7000 and plan on going 140-143 mph id say atleast 4:10's but id probably say 4:30's would be perfect. with those tires and 7000 rpm as long as your converter is right on you will go threw right on the money

what first gear in your glide? 1.8 i hope?

let me know if you need a tranny for this car.
my power glide is for sale. the glide with a 4:30 in the rear will get those cars rockin
I build my own glides I really need more gear now though, still have 3.73's

GMMP with a BG Race Demon

NOYZEE, I have revved it to 7600 but it was an accident

There is no reason for mine to twist any higher than 7200, it's done doing it's thing by then.

On the dyno when I twisted it to 7600 I was running 160mph LOL, I know at the track it will be different.

Also, what was your torqu #'s with your little motor? Mine only made 631tq when it made 711 hp. I know the tranny and rearend will eat some but I still thought it would be a little higher.

Oh yea, it's a 1.82 glide and the converter should be perfect, it's setup just for my car, not just an off the shelf deal.

lol, right.
1/8 mile on spray cant compair. if your set up for 1/4 and just dial it in on the 1/8 maybe, but if your tire/gear are 1/8 mile, good luck.

my car on the 9.40 pass went 5.9 in the 1/8 115 mph

My car is set up for the 1/4 but the track that is close to me is 1/8 mile both of them....Just trying to see what it would do in the 1/4...Hopefully i will take the trip to memphis this year and try it out...turbo 400,325/50/15 mt drag radial,4.11 gear, should be good for 1/4

Hopefully you can spin the motor up higher than I can. I'm running out of gear with 325's, and 3.89's on a th350. That's on the LS6 intake though. Hence the reason I'm making the switch the the victor jr.

I run 6.30's on a half assed 200 shot with the 10.07 so you can guess where the record will be. My best guess is that it will take some .70's-.80's to get close.

If it were an 1/8th mile record I would already have 5.13's in the car

I think i can get it with an 5.80 in the 1/8 with my sixty foot ..I got a progresser on the nitrous and it will 60 ft in the low 1.30's ....I am changing the springs now because when the motor was put togather the machine shop did not up grade the springs to a solid roller and it would pop at a high rpm.....So it might be even faster since the springs only had 110 pounds of seat pressure....

5.80 will put you on the edge of 8's if the car is on the money. i forget what my 1/8 was on some 9.0-9.2 passes, but im pretty sure i went a 9.2x with a 5.82 1/8

a 5.90 will do it with the right set up.

good luck, i still see no one has done it yet. hehe

Well, I know I won't have a shot until Labor Day. We usually get about -1500 DA that weekend. I'll just keep doing shakedown passes until then. I hit a 1.31 60' a couple weeks ago so progress is being made. I expect it to be a little more lazy off the line with the vic though, but on the upside I will be able to hit it with more spray. This record seems more impossible by the day though
