Well you did make a few changes at the same time. Like you said dyno it, get the a/f ratio right, then you can have a starting point. Either way for a FWD car it works good

well went to the track for the sole purpose of tuneing the carb, got it close, but still didnt like the plugs that were in it, changed back to the usual plugs i run one heat range hotter, and projected tip...make one pass, check plug, now a hair lean, so richen it up a bit, roll up to the lanes.....wont start, im like wtf???? finally call for a tow (actually called for the trailer lol) so the guy i went to the track with shows up on a golf cart, i immediatly recognize it as someone from last year...huge a$$&*(@ i wanted to hide...so i got a tow back and he helped push it on the trailer i was surprised, I had noticed earlier that he had a new car, last year he had an s10 with a sbc in it (found out today that it was a late model circle track engine with spray, i was killing him with a 355 lol) now he has a third gen camaro bodied race car, i think it is full tube i didnt look. it clearly an older car, he said he bought it to run there and still had the throttle stop on it (i think its like a super gas 9.9 or maybe an 8.90 class car) but it has 600 plus cubes and nitrous, i was a few cars behind him earlier in the night, and holy moly that is wayyyyy too much car for that idiot. he tried to do a burnout, couldnt even hold it in the water box area, bearly hazed the tires then tried to do another, didnt get enough brake, then decided a john force rolling burnout is the answer....only he was still way sideways from his other messups. I was worried. they stopped him on theway back when he was backing up, i would have told him do that again and your out. i dont know what they said, any way i have no idea why the car is acting up now. it starts and dies ( at first i thought vapor lock ) some times will start and idle, then die, sometimes can rev it but it doesnt sound crisp like usuall....guess i have more work, before friday since pinks all out is sat, damn!

That's awesome man, low cost fixes are always great news. Decided to keep my pile and go BIG tire tube frame back half, 4 link, coilovers, wishbone, probably 33x17 or a 33x10.5w on a 14 or 15 inch rim, lexal windows So I am going to strip and cut the hell out of my car lol.

I'm going to try to get it as light as possible, I have all the time in the world since I have another car to drive so I'll be stripping it down and tossing the motor and trans for a boosted small block and glide or a big inch BBC with a hit of spray and power glide.

Post up some new video and photos soon.

sweet, build a real car thats the ticket! i am really thinking turbo is the way to go though if you go for 10.5 tires, but hell if you put big meats under it, big block and 5 stages should do it. I would also build it to run both tires to open more options for races

If I run nitrous it would be a smaller shot maybe one stage of 250. If I try to make bigger power I'll go procharger or turbo. Multistage nitrous setups are great but melt down is quick and painful lol.

Sold my trans today and motor is pending sale, sad to see it go but I figured if I was going to go racing stock stuff wouldn't cut it, at least some one is getting some good stuff and it's a ls1tech'er.

Man I can't wait to get out my grinder and sawzaw and cut this thing apart lol. Don't get jealous when my pro stock looking 14 second car is on the road lol.

LOL how much duck tape and zip ties do you have keeping that thing together

It's also ok to grease wheel bearings and your drive shaft once every ten years as well LOL.

I still went low 10's on motor lmao. I also made a 17.5 pass at 42 mph after I got like 45* sideways on on launch from the start lol. I was driving that bad boy like I was on some stock 245 50 15 tires lol. When are you tubbing your car?

why, i havent had traction problems with the new 10.5's lol theses sunburt old piles of junk werent too bad either at a real track, they would still pull the front wheels every time, and that kept them loaded pretty well

Yeah but you don't make enough power to spin them. once you get rid of that 4 cylinder and run with the big boys you'll be crying about how scary that small tire stuff is LOL.
