actually i had never foot braked a car, and the car not being setup for it , i really had to stand on the brakes, i could only get about 2200 rpm before it would creep, plus i suck on the tree, not alot of experiance. that was only the 4th time to a track with a tree. with the trans brake i can usually keep it under .100, need more practice. i really just cant belive the car looks so slow, and went that fast

rotflmao, no i like the wheelys, its much more fun when everybody gets up along the fence to watch, Ive had several thousand (really) people cheering, at atlanta motor speedway they have friday night drags, on pit road. I had the only car pulling wheelys there, most cars couldnt hook at all, next year ought to be fun, now i have some reserve so i wont have to show everything on the first round. as it was the big guns, with way more power and car were wondering how it hooked like it did.

Big enough to leave wheels up at a stop light on cold tires
Besides chics like big ones
That was my first attempt at a race car, built it in my garage when I was 24. The car actually started as a 26x10 tire, then it was a 28x11, then a 30x10.5 then 31x16.5 et street, finally 33x16.5s.
Actually if I could have fit 34.5x17 I would have =)

huh what...yup got a new solenoid in it, no local tracks doing anything though, that gives me a few months to add the chute, extinguisher, back brace on the rear, look for weight to take out lol, and see about fixing the steering box. oh yeah add a return line on the fuel system, and remove the writing from the side of the limiter bolts (cables get hung) maybe a few more things

Cool I actually helped a buddy on his chute mount, 72 nova we're running 9.30 on a 100 shot with a SBC. Slapped some high performance spray paint on the mount.
Still a lot left in the car we haven't even touched the ladder bars yet, hopefully we will have it well into the 8's with a 200 shot. BTW my buddy is like 300+ pounds big guy so it will go even faster once he lets me drive it

Don't under estimate what a person with time and a angle grinder can do
Actually the first car I ever built and raced went 1.30 in the 60 ft.
Which is faster than car_fixer

How did you manage that? Next you'll say you're selling the car
I knew you were going import racing FWD
Told you not to tub the front end and run those big tires
Just remember the only difference from me and the fastest F-body is money.

no ALOT of money lol. the steering box came out of an early 70's car so being 30 some odd years old i guess it can have some play in it lol, ordered a new box today, got a great price on a new unit, not reman, so it should be good for a long time, got to order some other parts, a and then start fabbing what i need to make, should be fun yanking that chute the first time, then fumble with the folding part for an hour lol
