Cool I can't wait, BTW put that air filter back on your lawn mower that's a 100cfm SEARS filter LOL I know you just use that to keep the dirt out of the carb when it's parked right LOL

yeah there is a dirt road behind the shop, so i keep that on..it fits in the cowl plate lol
at the track it has a big velocity stack on it..top pic by the coolant res., it seals to a plate on the hood so it pulls air from the cowl area..and if it backfires, well i can see it real good lol. cleaned the plugs today (full of lead deposits) and while it was warm i checked the compression avg. 230, with 10 psi diff between all 8...I am pretty happy with that. and thats a mr garbage filter ill have you know. I really need to wash the car , bad, but there are still water restrictions here so no playing with the hose. hows your car going, still waiting on the redneck retirement fund? (lotto)

I haven't touched my car been working out and eating like a pig and watching netflixs.
I have no money so my car has no new parts, my car is done, has been for a while, I need to get a rear end and new drive shaft.
Then get my rims and tires, then I will have the slowest, stock motor, full tub, 30x11" tired Camaro in these here parts, at least I know I'll hook and can spank 99.9% of the imports in these parts at a stop light and that's all that matters =)

well picked up an onboard fire system today, thinking i will put it on the pass floor, near the front, and put the pull handle near the shifter. and as far as going that fast, I cant go too much faster...I dont know when a 1 piece rear block will push a crank out lol. I am actually thinking of running e85 and turbos and be about the same hp without 11 bucks a gallon for fuel and 4 bucks a pound for nitrous..3 lbs per pass.....wont take long to make it back lol

Alky and turbo is the way to go, you're going to build a BBC right? I mean why mess with a SBC when you want to make REAL power like I do BBC is the way to go.
Besides you can build a 540 with some dart 320s and put some big turbos on it and go fast enough to scare you and you'll sale it anyways and start talking about wanting to drive it on the street more LOL. Then put a 305 back in it

Playing videos games, working out, drinking beer, watching rented movies and **** on the internet is a way of life all men have to grow into, one day you'll take the training wheels off your ***** and do what you feel like doing one day too
Cheers!

1 st race is on the 30th, I hope the alignment machine is working by then, if not it could be kinda squirrelly. I resealed the intake tonight to fix that oil leak, cheap silicone, didnt stick to anything.....so I fixed that, need to do some nitpicking stuff, and mount the fire system. I might pull the rear end out and add the back brace and a mount to anchor the chute, maybe change gears too, depends on how the gears look in there...they do sound like a top fuel car on shutdown so im guessing they are toast. might need to work a weekend on it instead of just after work lol.

I assume you're not running a vacuum pump, I drilled the bottom side of my intake so when the silicone dries it gets pressed up into the small holes and it helps keep the seal of the silicone from breaking leaking oil.
Those breathers on the valve covers to the exhaust collectors do not pull much vacuum.
Do you have lifter valley breathers in your engine or do you have them blocked off or have screens?

I have tubes in the holes in the valley, and those exh evac systems do help some, after i changed the check valves the leak slowed alot, it was just that crappy silicone though..it will be ok now, I should have the fire system in soon. hope never to use it
