Default what do you think i will run in the 1/4?

MY car is a 69 nova
434 sbc 11.1 compression Afr 227 eliminator heads with jesel 1.5 shaft rockers
264 272 @ 50 109 lobe sep 648 626
1 7/8 hooker super comp 3 inch exhaust
super victor intake 2925 with 1 inch spacer and 850 mighty demon
Turbo 400 trans with reverse manual valve body and 4500 stall
12 bolt spool 4.10 pro gears and lpw girdle
Full msd ignition digital 6 box 8.5 wires and 85511 disributor blaster ss coil
Autofab tubular upper and lower control arms with qa1 coilover shocks with 350lb springs
manual steering with aerospace front brakes
The rear suspenion has caltracs with split mono leafs, solid body bushings, rancho 9000 shocks, and subframe connectors future mod is gonna be a 10 point moly cage.
I am running 28x10 slicks or 275 60 15 drag radial.
I also have a fiberglass hood 3.5 , fuel cell and summit racing seats.
I have aermotive a1000 fuel pump with 10 an feed and 8 an return with 13204 regulator.
I think this car should weight atleast 3200 without a driver if not less.
MY goal is 10.50's or better on motor and with a 350 shot low 9's hopefully 8 second pass
Do you think my cam is to small for my application the power band is 4000-7200 rpm. It is a custom lunnati grind.
Thanks for looking.

I think you'll be close to your goal. I'm thinking 10.70's. The cam looks pretty good, if you were to go bigger I think more compression would be in order.

I bet that thing will run bottom elevens to high tens when you unload it from the trailer (or get through the gates if it's driven to the track). After getting it dialed in, I'll guess 10.47

Sounds like a good combo

I'd guess 10.20's @ 132. roughly 620hp... My junk is heavier with less motor, less gear, less everything and went 11.05 @ 127+. Your 3 speed, stall, and 4.10's will work really well.

The cam should be fine with those cubes and compression. If it doesn't have a 1.6 rocker, I'd swap to those and get more lift if you have enough piston to valve clearance. The 4500 stall will work pretty good on motor and on hose I think. I use the same stall and shift at 7000. I think you will be similar.

Goodluck and keep it on all 4!!

In terms of your cam size, I just had one custom ground from comp cams for xmas (still not installed!!!!@!@!@). Anyway, 388ci, 12.5:1, 1.6 roller rockers, planned on 300hp shot max: 114LSA, 276/276 duration, .688/.689 lift. I also chose the same rpm range (4000-7200).

I use a 3500 stall, 3.73 gears (posi) vs. your 4500 and 4.10s (spool)

According to comp cams, you'd want a lot more than a 109 LSA with a 350hp shot, probably want 112-114 LSA. I think the lift is fine, especially if you get 1.6s.

I'd guess 10.20s on motor.

you will hit a low 10 without a problem, as long as it the 60' is good... expect a 1.4 or so with the right setup suspension. the car sounds legit! and on a 250-300 hp shot it will have no problem siting in the 9's...

Nope i have not ran it yet hopefully for the no time nationals at atco raceway Nov 7 . I just got a 10 point chromolly cage with swing out and window net done on the car. I am gonna shoot for 10.20s and hope for the best. My friend has a 80 malibu the car has a 355 stock crank and rods and trw pistons, 500 lift cam 234,240, 106 lobe sep solid flat tappet 1,5/8 headers 40 series flowmaster mufflers, victor jr intake, 750 holley, Dart sportman 2 steel heads and harland sharp rockers with 10.1 compression. It also has 4.10 gears and 5000 converter. He drives to and from the track 2 hours away and this car runs 11.11 @ 118. The real key to this car is that it weights 2950 with him in it. But still for a 355 with steel heads and pump gas it is impressive. So i figure my car with me in it has to weight about 3400#s i should see my goals.

I think you will run 10.30s or better. I have a pump gas 434 but I use a cam with 270/280 @.050 dur and .688/.670 lift and a 110 lobe sep. and the Dart cnc 227 heads @ 3400 lbs in street trim on a cold day its best pass was a 9.91 @136 mph. In the summer it runs 10.10s or a little better. And if you are running a std deck block I would not try and hit that piston with a 350 shot due to the comp ht.

You will be mid 10s on motor pretty easy. I think that 850 carb is going to hurt it on the big end though. At least1050 Dominator would help quit a bit, IMO. Gonna be hard to plant all that on a 275 drag radial unless you come out soft. Good luck, that things gonna fly.
