Default MY 94 Z/28 BBC build thread

Hello ..Just picked up a 94 Z/28 . i am installing a BBC /T-400 powertrain. Car has BMR front and rear suspension with a 9" . Also has a Wolfe 10 point mly cage ...I will be posting pics as the car progresses..
Engine is a 555 BBC
14.5 to 1 compression with Dart 355 CNC heads , super vic intake and a
Reher morrison 817 lift cam...and a little spray...

couple more pics of the cars progress ...
Engine mockup , header fab , seat installation and master cylinder mounting ,
Headers are 2.250 stepped to 2.375 with a 4" collector.

Well spent the weekend putting my buddies 72 Chevelle back together , No real progres on the Z...still working on the headers ...did get a chance to start working on the rear fuel cell/ compartment ...pics coming soon...

396 mock up block? Is it the same deck height as the 509?

yeah its a 454 block 9.800 deck ..same deck height as my 555 will be ...4,560 bore X 4.250 stroke ...yeah its a little bit of a job for sure ...the mockup is going pretty good ...just building the headers is a major pain...2.250 stepped to 2.375 to a 4" collector ...they are actually coming together pretty well...pics too come this weekend ...

finished the Pass side header mods today ...the drivers is gonna be a task...heres a couple of pics . its 2 1/4 stepped to 2 3/8's with a 4" collector ..

Header looks good. Keep up the good work and keep us updated. I'm looking to do a bbc swap eventually.

Thanks ..LOL ...progress has been a little slow ...Drivers side header is nearly complete ...but another project fell into my lap ...A 95 LT1 .with a 383 stroker and a D1SC procharger here are a couple pics of the header progress and the new whip ..which will be my DD ...it wont run ..looks like the fuel pump ..I have 42 PSI when I key on and it drops to below 20 PSI in about 10 seconds ...
