Default Edelbrock carbs - known leakdown issues?

On my old Caprice I have an Edelbrock 650. I like its
tunability and behavior for the most part. But if the
car sits for a week, the bowl is dry and it needs a lot
of cranking to fill. Car is mostly stored, I try and take
it out every week or two.

According to Edelbrock their carb is supposed to have
no bowl leak possibility, but that doesn't seem to be
true.

Anything specific to look for?

Not looking to change brands, just clean up this little
nuisance.

It just happens man, the fuel evaporates, my holleys do the same thing, but i have electric fuel pumps so i just let the pump prime for a couple secs, pump the gas and fire it up. There is nothing you can really do about it honestly, the fuel just doesnt want to stay anywhere that is not sealed off in small amounts.
