Best out of the box heads for a sbc?

The 111LSA seems a bit wide to me...especially for a 6800 Peak. Mine is 242/248 with similar lift and advertised duration on a 108LSA...in a 350! On a 383, I think you would want to tighten it up and get more overlap (more inches, but hardly any more valve area). I could be wrong though. Maybe one of the cam guru's will chime in. If not, contact Mike Jones at Jones Racing Cams. He has done a few for me and they flat out work.
And I still think the AFR 210 or 220 Race is the way to go.
What intake and carb do you have?

220 afr
I have 220 afr's on a 383 built for boost. Pretty sure they are the race heads. I had them flowed agianst my bow tie heads that i was using. The afr's flowed a tick over 300 at .650 lift. The bow ties were like votec heads but with a way better exh flow. I have not run them and they are the older heads but should be nasty with boost. Buddy had some on a 406 with 11:1 in an s10 would run mid 10's.

I have the RPM Aairgap on mine also...but it is ported. As cast, the runners were not very big and the measured all over the place. I am stepping up to a ported Victor Jr. For your combo (and a good set of heads) a PORTED Airgap will probably be a small restriction.
