2 bolt main sbc 375 to 400hp
Just wanted to get some opinions on a 2 bolt 350 it was built with around 375 to 400hp considering putting in my 67 camaro daily driver with the occasional spinning the tires. Just asking I have other engine options but want to get on the road and this motor is ready to go. I hear people frown upon 2 bolt mains

You will have no problems, 2 bolt blocks are tougher than most people will give them credit for. If you want more peace of mind, throw some ARP studs on the main caps.

tell your machinist you want to use main studs so he can do his job right
Upgrade your rod bolts, good balance job you should be fine. Std volume pump with Z/28 (pink?) spring basic windage tray you are good to go!
Used to do 2 bolt main builds with stock stuff all the time never broke one. You can drive a car hard without abusing it.

Here is a link to look over, The added stroke dies side load the caps thats why GM 400 blocks use wider center caps.

cnc block has it dead on the money but 2-bolts on 350 keeping it's standard stroke or less who knows why but people are crazy, should be fine the longer stroke creates the need for splayed caps to stop cap walk.

ARP does nothing to make the caps stronger its still a grey cast caps. It like putting a new set of ARP rods bolts in a old set of rods that are old rods with new bolts.
Like I said 2 bolt main 350 blocks were never designed for 3.750 strokes.
